Tripp Lite's DRS-1215 offers surge and noise suppression in a versatile all-metal multi-mount cabinet. Detachable mounting flanges are configurable for rackmount, wallmount and under-counter installation. Uses only 1 rack space (1U) when installed in any 19 inch EIA standard rack. 3000 Joules of protection for a great price!

This is a great deal on a heavy duty strip that also protects up to 3000 joules of surge. I have this installed in the Tripp Lite 6U Wall Mount Rack Enclosure that I also purchased from Amazon. The power strip provides protected power to the networking equipment and makes everything neat and organized thanks to it being rack mountable. I will be purchasing more of these for other cabinets. Similar costing power strips have much less surge protection, or none at all.

I screwed this strip to a piece of hardwood, then C-clamped it to the back of my table, and it is solid as a rock! It is extremely well-made and solid, and I push and pull power plugs in and out with one hand and it's solid as a bank vault! For once my mess of power cords is safe and really secure, and I have the cords I want out of sight in the back, with outlets up front for things I need to get at. I also have a UPS that everything plugs into and another Tripp-Lite unit with cable TV, Network, and phone jacks to cover the rest of my rig and isolate it from surges and lightning.

It is a surge suppressing power strip, so I am not sure when the "surge" part will get tested or if I will know. But as with most Tripp Lite products, it is built well. We installed in a commercial facility to power connectivity gear and it completely met our needs.
