5Great AMP!!!
By Steven M Carter Sr
This the last style amp Sony came out with that is worth a you know what. It is a true Class D amp. I even had it tested back in 02. I have to find the paper but at 14.4v at 1ohm it cranked out a little over 1200watts. 970 something of pure undistorted power. I have one of these in both my cars now. On 3 12's I hit 156.6db in a competition. I have ran this amp for 4 plus years without a prob. I have even dropped it to a 0.6 load for a month to see if it would handle it and it did without a hiccup. I would reccommend this for anybody who is on a budget and need some power!!

5For what the LP755 delivers, it's a great value
By A Customer
InFocus Systems, Inc. is one of the leading manufacturers of LCD and DLP projectors. Yet the company is not known for high quality video products. Rather it has traditionally concentrated (very successfully) on the commercial "pie chart and spreadsheet" market. However, of late the company has begun to produce some noteworthy projectors that perform in video as well as they do in data. The LP755 is an outstanding example.

At 9.7 lbs, and with a solid comfortable handle integrated into the casework, the LP755 is intended for use in portable applications. It has a bright 1000 ANSI lumen rating, and is native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. It is clearly a hybrid, designed for users who want both excellent data and video performance in a portable projector. Owners of the LP755 will be using it for business presentations during the week, and bringing it home for big screen excitement evenings and weekends.

The connection panel offers one each of a composite RCA, S-video, and standard 15-pin VGA port. There is also a second input to accommodate InFocus' proprietary Cable Wizard that enables connection of a second computer, as well as a mouse and audio signal from that computer. Finally there is a jack for an optional wired remote and an external speaker.

The control panel on the LP755 looks good and is intuitively laid out. However the tactile response leaves something to be desired. On our sample unit, buttons needed to be depressed firmly, and even then it sometimes took two or three depressions for the action to register. And the remote control lacked the range of the other three products in this review. During this test the projectors were set at a distance of 15 feet from the screen. The LP755 would not take a bounced signal from the screen at this distance; rather, the remote needed to be pointed at the unit itself. (And by the way, for those of you using a Sony DVP-S7700 DVD player, note that the IR frequency of the Sony's remote is close enough to the LP755 that commands from the Sony remote will scramble settings on the projector.)

Setting the projector up in table-top mode is easy. There is a single spring-tension foot under the front of the unit that extends with the press of a button. You can set the projected image to the desired height, release the button, and the projector remains in position. A manual leveling adjustment on the back of the unit compensates for any tilt in the image.

Observations and Comments

The InFocus LP755 has remarkable video processing logic onboard. It outperformed all three other projectors in the group in standard S-video. The playback of the montage of images in the Video Essentials DVD showed an excellent handling of motion artifacts. Dot crawl was non-existent, and the stadium pan scene was rock solid with not a hint of moiré pattern. In many respects, the LP755's internal image processing is superior to that in the DVDO iScan. In fact, when the DVDO is used to feed a 480p signal into the LP755's PC port, the resulting image is inferior to that available through S-video by itself. Thus, this is one of the few projectors that doesn't need outside help with NTSC.

The LP755 was the second brightest unit in this review, second only to the Mitsubishi. Brightness uniformity was average for an LCD projector, and there was no visible hotspotting.

The LP755 does not have the black level that is attainable with the Davis and Mitsubishi, although it was about on par with the Sony. Shadow detail was lacking in a manner consistent with most LCD products.

As with the Davis CinemaOne, the LP755 is limited in that it does not accept component video, nor is it HDTV compatible. So it doesn't have some of the features that the pure home theater enthusiast is looking for.

Fan noise on this unit is not objectionable. It is slightly more noticeable than the Sony or Mitsubishi, but quieter than the Davis.

Summary

If you need a dual-purpose product that delivers excellent performance for both portable business use as well as standard TV, satellite, and DVD video, the LP755 is worth a very close look. The S-video image from a good DVD player is an exciting and satisfying experience that will inspire the envy of friends and neighbors. For what the LP755 delivers, today's prices are a good value in today's market of lcd projectors.

5Apple of my Eye - Star of my Kitchen
By Patricia Brune
This pan was worth every cent. I like to cook in quantity and put up "planned overs" for later in the week, and in the last six years have been through a number of non-stick pans including Circulon (ugh - stay far away), Calphalon (OK for the first few months), and T-Fal (used to like but no longer).I kept glancing at the 10" open French Anolon pan I'd bought at Amazon 10 years ago, which is still going strong. The old Anolon admittedly has some discoloration and "seasoning" at this point, but 10 years for a nonstick is nothing to snear at. So I went for this Big Baby. And love it! This is my go-to pan, even though it's labeled as a saute, I make everything from stews to pasta sauces to chili in it. It's great for stir-frying loads of veggies, and you can whip up healthy fried rice concoctions with leftover brown rice and freshly sliced veggies with an egg or two scrambled in. Speaking of eggs, for brunches I beat together some eggs and eggwhites, then saute whatever veggies are on hand to fill up the bottom of the pan, pour in the eggs, top with cheese and bake in a 325 F. oven for 20 minutes for the biggest, most delicious fritattas ever. This pan is so versatile I can cook pasta for two in it, drain the pasta, wipe it out, add olive oil and a little wine and saute greens and garlic, add back the pasta and some broth and voila, pasta prima vera in one pan. Chicken thighs brown well in it, then add barley and broth and some Morrocan seasonings ... OK I'll stop, you get the picture! It seems like everything I make in this pan comes out better. And this is my first glass lid cookware - how fun to see your meal cooking as the steamy little bubbles roll down the inside of the lid! Just be aware that quality cookware needs to be treated well - follow manufacturer's instructions - no dishwashers, let it come to heat over a medium setting, and clean it gently. The only con I'd issue is that the pan is heavy, but you get a lot of bang for this Kichen Hunk.

5This is the cookware you've been waiting for!
By A. Catanzaro
I bought this about 4 months ago and use it several times per week. Even though I cook a lot, I am not usually one to shell out over $100 on a single pan. This was totally worth it! This one is a keeper. Truly non-stick, easy to clean, larger size can accommodate a big meal! It is heavy, but this helps with even heating (and heat retention). Looks and feels very well-made, should provide one with a lifetime of culinary delights. We're getting to be good friends, this pan and I. Bon appetit!UPDATE: Over 2 years later (May 2011) and the pan and I are like BFFs. Still cooking delightful meals, accommodating both small and surprisingly large portions, non-stick in-tact. I stand behind my previous review. Add this to your cookware arsenal and you will not be disappointed.

5Professional Grade & Quality
By Michael E. Tatham
This is a great non stick pan that has a lot of great features like see thru glass cover, non-stick surface, non slip handles and is also oven safe to 400 degrees. This pan is very thick which is great for even cooking , the 12" diameter is great on our 12" radiant glass top stove. This pan is also the easiest to clean. ~MET

4GREAT PROJECTOR, PACK A LUNCH FOR SERVICE
By Roger Piper
I have used a LP425 Infocus for 3 years. Great projector for the price. 7+ lbs. and has been through most of the airports in US, Canada and Mexico. But as it did need a quick turn around for service (1 week) this is not an option and the seller did not offer access to Infocus for a try for service. It seems that selling a new unit was the only option or a rental that would knock your socks off. I will not be buying Infocus in the future due to the service relationship to the customer.

4Versitile, good choice, not best for home use.
By T. TRETTER
This printer has excellent quality, features and can do just about any task you send it. The stackable trays are great for different types of jobs. I have had the printer for 3 years and have not had to change the toner yet. I do use it for home business only, this printer is pretty heavy and takes up a lot of space for home use.I trust HP quality and know this printer will outlive many similar models. The printer driver settings are easy to use, but the menu options on the printer itself are hard to navigate and save.If you do consider this printer, buy additional memory for it, because the 8MB internal memory is not enough for many jobs, and is quite slow. 64MB will be plenty for about 40 bucks more.

5best printer ever
By tgeorge
I bought this printer for my home business to print vellum for screen printing over 11 years ago. I no longer do graphics but this is my primary home printer. I have had 3 color inkjets and spent tons on cartriges and hate it. This HP laser I have replaced the cartridge only once and that was like 2 years ago. I wish it did color. If you do mostly black printing or don't need photo quality, spend the money and go laser you will not regret it.

5Truly a Business Fax
By B. Budlong
I debated and researched for weeks on different fax machines and brands. I had an older brother fax machine (5-6 years). It worked great but I had broken one of the trays and didn't hold a lot of paper. I debated some of the Multi-function copier-printer-faxes. For only a few dollars more I could get one that duplexes and every other option imaginable. I have a copier. I have printers. I needed a fax. I receive 100-150 faxes a day. This is simply a great fax machine. Nothing more and absolutely nothing else. It is quiet and extremely fast. "Pick one thing and do it great" - this is what this machine does. It isn't OK at a lot. It's great at one thing. It sends and receives faxes.

5Excellent!
By Warren Holzem
I own a store that sends faxes for customers, and I can tell you that this is a great fax machine for high volume faxing. Machines I've had in the past would choke on documents on even the lightest pastel colors. The scanning engine on this machine sees the background color, and ignores it, allowing those pages to be sent as quickly as if they were on bright white paper. No longer do I need to copy documents on color paper before faxing. Some other reviews complain about a clicking sound. I have to listen very closely to hear what it is they're talking about. I'd have to guess that these people are used to inkjet fax machines. Most laser printer/fax machines make a heck of a lot more noise than this baby does. I'm amazed at how quiet it really is! It makes so little noise that I've had to set it to ring twice before recieving. Other laser fax machines that I've owned make so much noise I didn't need a ring to hear from across the store that they were recieving a fax. This baby is so quiet, that when I had it set to immediately answer, I'd stumble across faxes that had come in without me even knowing!I haven't had it long enough to know how well it'll hold up over time, but I have high hopes for it.My only complaint is that the delay for re-dials is 5 minutes, and there's no menu adjustment to shorten it. But then again, this is not an unusual problem, and far less serious than some of the other problems I've had with other machines. If you're looking for a fax machine for your home, a multifunction printer that emphisises printer features may be a better choice for you. But if you're in a business situation in which you need to do a lot of faxing, this is one heck of a good fax machine.

5A no-brainer-of-a-purchase
By A Customer
First, let me disclose that I do not own this unit, but I do own what appears to be its predecessor, the MFC 8500 (now discontinued). The 4750e (curiously 1/2 the model number I have) has the same form-factor, the same button layout, the same toner cartridge and the same features but with better technical specifications, e.g. faster fax modem. I AM IN LOVE WITH THE BROTHER MFC 8500 and would guess that this one will provide similar results. I think it's significant that my two-year-old unit never dropped more than $50 in price up to its discontinuation, and its replacement--this unit--is about $100 higher in price. The toner cartridge is cheap compared to other laser printers. The pop-up screen (when linked to a PC) provides simple and intuitive copy, fax and e-mail menus. I've never had to read the manual. It even has the ability to link with your answering machine, so you don't have to be home to switch the phone cords around when you're expecting a fax. If you ask me, the 8500 was such as successful product that Brother probably had to change the model number to allow them to charge a higher price.

5Works Great and YES, I Put Them In the Dishwasher
By A Customer
Original review submitted March 2004:My husband and I bought this pan set about 6 months ago. I realize they are not suppose to be put into the dishwasher because they are hard anodized aluminum and the manufacturer recommends that we hand wash them; However, I don't live in the 1800s and don't have the time, nor the desire to scrub pots and pans! I have been putting them in the dishwasher under the normal wash cycle about 4-5 times a week. It doesn't appear that the dishwashing has harmed them, in any event, I figure I'll take my chances. In terms of cooking with them, they work absolutely great and I definitely recommmend this set. The only thing that bothers me about this product line is that the 10 pc set does not include a 1 1/2 qt covered saucepan, only the 12 pc set does. I can't even buy it separately either. Other then that, I have no complaints.Update: June 2005 As I said in my original review submission, my husband and I have been putting them in the dishwasher to clean because we're lazy and willing to take risks. Now, over 1 1/2 years later from the time of purchase, they still "look" brand new but in terms of "use" they are beginning to stick a LITTLE. For example, when I now use a pan to make scrambled eggs in them the first set of eggs that I cook do not stick and turn out good, but the second set of eggs and any thereafter will need extra oil/butter in the pan to prevent them from sticking. So the dishwashing probably has effected the non stick coating on the pans, but barely. Aside from this issue, they still work GREAT! We still put them in the dishwasher to clean, and don't regret it one bit!

5A Batchelor
By chillwater
I have had the ten inch skillet for about six months and it is by far the best I have had in my thirty-five years of cooking. I overheat it. I catch it on fire. It looks like new. Non stick is fine. A teaspoon of oil and nothing (I mean nothing) will stick. Circulon 2 is great stuff, period. I was so impressed, I wrote this.

5Fantastic Value
By P. T. Kantor
After long research and many visits to different stores, I found the Circulon 2 10 piece set. This set offers everything I was looking for. It has the durability of being hard-adonized with a nicer look than some of the more expensive brands. Probably the best feature of this cookware set is the new non-stick that it has. Not only does food not stick to the pan when cooking but clean-up was an absolute breeze ( hand washed ). I highly reccomend this set, wether you are a novice in the kitchen or a seasoned home chef. You will find this great cookware.

5Great Fast Printer
By D. Will
Very fast 17 Pages per minute, great looking output at 1200 DPI, even better with the optional Ethernet 10/100 HP JetDirect 600N internal card. This printer is great as a shared network printer, or for users with large volumes of printing.

Only problem I've found is that if you are going to be printing large 1200 DPI graphics (like Photos), you will need to upgrade the memory from the base 8 MB of ram. As an alternative you could switch to 600 DPI instead, but the picture quality is reduced.

4reliable printer, works well
By Andrew C. Flick
i purchased this printer about a year ago and the thing still works perfectly. We were able to get the thing up and running right away for our whole laboratory (12 shared users). The occasional software problem arises, but the amount of problems this printer encounters is FAR fewer than its predecessor. all in all, this is an excellent value and this printer performs the desired operation. I recommend this purchase.

5great printer, rare jams, reliable, wise investment.
By Concerned One
I have at least one to two of this model printer in the offices I work at because they are so reliable, and need minimal maintenence. All of mine are in health care settings, where records are key. Some are one two or three trays. The toner last for many sheets of printing (never counted, but I know I probably go more than 1000 sheets at least). The printer rarely jams (except when I used really cheap thin paper), and the secretaries love the sheet feed selection if having to use overhead paper for a letter. The quality of the print (i believe up to 1200dpi) is great for black and white. Highly recommended investment, quite likely one of the last printers your office will need.

5Best Universal Remote Available
By Cypherdude
After searching many hours for a good universal remote, I found the One For All (OFA) URC8811. I had first purchased the OFA URC6131 but without the "learning" feature, it was impossible to program all the buttons from the original remote. One for All makes 21 different models. The "learning" feature begins at model 8811 and the "modem" feature begins at model 8910. The "learning" feature is used to copy the buttons of your original remotes into your new universal remote. The "modem" feature is used to update the universal remote via the telephone.Because the 8811 carries such an extensive library of manufacturer remotes in its memory chip, you may never need to update your 8811. If you actually do need to update it with new remote codes, you can send the 8811 to One For All for free. The 8811 is so advanced I bought two, one for myself and one for my father whose own original remote was failing. I was able to replace 3 remotes: my VCR, TV, and air-conditioner. Yes, I was able to copy, or the remote "learned", all the functions of my air-conditioner remote. Also, it only took a few minutes for me to program my father's remote for his TV/VCR combo.Using the 8811 is very convenient. Because of the "learning" feature, I was able to choose the placement of all the buttons from the original remotes. As has been mentioned in previous reviews, while it is not written in the sparse manual, most of the buttons are "learning" enabled. For years I was forced to switch between the original VCR and TV remotes whenever I wanted to "mute" the TV, very irritating. Whenever I wanted to enable or disable the caption feature of my TV, I had to switch to the TV remote and go through 6 steps. Now all I do is press one macro button. Finally, the 8811 and more advanced OFA models have a little known but powerful additional feature: JP1 programmability. Very few people know this, but there is a standard for universal remotes known as JP1. If a remote has the 6 JP1 pins, a JP1 cable can be used to connect it to your PC. JP1 first used the parallel port but now there are also USB JP1 cables. With a free downloadable program which runs on your PC, you can use the JP1 connector to update your remote in any manner you wish. Be aware you must know what you are doing. Otherwise, you can lock up your remote and you may be forced to return it to OFA for resetting. The JP1 parallel cable is inexpensive and the JP1 USB cable costs twice as much. You can find any information you need using a Google search if you are interested. There are forums specifically for JP1. You can find these forums by doing a "remote JP1 forum" Google search. While more advanced OFA remotes have an LCD display, I prefer not to have one because the display can break when you drop the remote. Furthermore, an LCD display will drain the batteries quicker. Some people complain about the 8811 using 4 AAA batteries. I don't have a problem with this because it makes the 8811 more compact. In terms of balance, weight, size, features, price and usability, the URC8811 is the best remote available. I am surprised more retail stores do not carry it. It seems the only way to obtain it is through the Internet.

2Don't be fooled
By J. Jacobs
This remote does not live up to its claims. It didn't have the codes it claims. For instance, it says it has codes for Audiovox, which is my DVD player/home theater system. However, what it means is, it has codes for Audiovox's VCR, but not Audiovox DVD player or home theater. And if you have any newer system, like my plasma TV, forget about having a code for it.The next thing it claims is that you can search for a compatible code, so I tried that. No codes found. The next thing it claims is that the remote can "learn" your device's codes by pointing one remote into the other. Not exactly. What it means is, you can press each button on your remote and map it to their remote. BUT, the catch is, there isn't enough memory to completely map the buttons for even one remote, so it stops "learning" after the memory is full. I don't know why you'd have a remote that controls eight devices but can't contain all the buttons for even one of them. I only had three devices, and one of them did have a code, but I still couldn't use this remote with only two remotes to map.The next thing it claims is that the remote is upgradable and that new codes can be added. What it means is, you have to send the remote back to customer service -- and pay the shipping by the way -- and they'll send it back after they reprogram it. If you plan on adding any more devices to your system later, get ready to be without your remote every time you need to "upgrade" it.I eventually returned mine after lots of frustration. This remote is low priced, but it's still not worth it.

5Cant believe the price!
By TJ
Ok, I am a tough gal to impress, and this is an impressive remote before you take into consideration the price. Once you factor that in, it's a steal! I had been limping along with an 8-10 year old universal remote that controlled all but the DVD player, until the batteries died and all the programming went with it. Extremely irritating. So I did a bit of research and took a shot at this guy. It arrived today, and I spent about 30 minutes programming this baby to do EXACTLY what I want it to do. I went from 6 remotes to one, and I couldn't be happier. A few key points:

1) ALL buttons (not just the "learning buttons") are capable of learning any function you want from another remote.

2) I found that on my Pioneer DVD player the first code listed worked for power and play, but wouldn't scan chapters, or bring up the menu etc. I tried the second code for Pioneer and everything worked like a charm.

3) Works great with my digital cable, with a few functions needing to be taught to use all functions of the original remote.

4) Love the volume lock feature! I have all audio piped through my receiver to take full advantage of my bose acoustimass speakers, and the volume lock feature "locks" the volume buttons onto your receiver no matter what device you're using. Very handy.

5) Macros on a 20 buck remote, need I say more!

Some people have complained about the size, and OK it is a bit large. However, to get all those buttons on there, and to not have them so close together that you're hitting more than one button at a time it's gotta be a little big.

All in all a terrific remote at a terrific price.

5great blades
By wilson
The Milwaukee 44 7/8" blades all work well for me, so I'll lump the reviews for the 10/14tpi, 18tpi and 24tpi together. These are the blades that I useThe 10/14 blades are my go-to blades for general garage work. Milwaukee recommends them for 3/16-1/2" stock, and my experience confirms the suitability. I cut considerable cold-rolled stock and soft steel up to 3/8" routinely and without effort. The 10/14 is the general-purpose blade of choice in my applications. I use it 90% of the time. The 18tpi is recommended for 5/32-3/16". it works well also, but I haven't found it all that useful. In most cases, i'll try to make do with the 10/14.I find the 24tpi comes in handy for the smaller steel, and softer metals like copper, aluminum, etc.. It doesn't take as big of bite as the 10/14, so there's less risk of damaging the material. The tooth pattern and metallurgy of the bi-metal material that Milwaukee puts in these blades seem ideal for general purpose metal cutting. Recommended.
