Bottom Line Is Sound Quality, Simply Amazing, but Pricey

After researching sound sytems for nearly 2 years I decided to go with the MC500 as my L/C/R speaker system along with the P1000, S300's and an MC300 as a center rear speaker. Fits nicely with my 50" plasma. Perfect for THX and DTS soundtracks. Music sounds very crisp and full, without the speakers ever sounding like they are being stressed.Downside, very bulky and heavy. Used as a center it sits nearly 10 inches high. Not many entertainment centers will hold this size speaker. Price, it's an investment $$$.I still found that it was the best price compared to the other top of the line systems out there. Despite the size and cost, the sound quality eclipses its rivals still making this a perfect 10!!!!Check out there ebay store everything is near 1/2 off. Make it an even better value...

I am very happy with my Cambridge Soundworks MC500s. I've bought from Cambridge before and you can never go wrong with their speakers. I upgraded my current home theater set-up with the MC500s and couldn't be happier with the sound.

big performance

This speaker is ultra-compact, but it sure does offer big performance. I used the keyhole slots on the back to mount them in my family room wall, and you'd never even realize they were there. Friends and family are blown away by the performance.

Cyber Knex Ultra Real Programable Robots

Cyber K'nex Ultra is the best. You can choose from Mectron the robot, Drax the dragon, Sarge the defense truck, Zap the planet defender, or Woof a real cyber dog. This set even has a small computer brain and it knows when you are there. These models can see, hear, talk, and even feel. They are the best in guard mode. Just put the model in front of what needs to be guarded and dial the proper numbers on your cyber controler. when someone walks by your model will shout and sound the alarm. Then you will be zooming down the stairs to meet the intruder. You can even choose your models personality. Each set comes with cyber keys which you put into the cyber port. Then you turn on your model and it behaves from the information on your Cyber key. Each set comes with five personality cyber keys for each model. It also comes with one programable cyber key in which you use to choose your own personality. For this a computer is required but I know you have one because you are reading this. Just plug the programable cyber port into the back of your computer and slip in the programable cyber key into it and go to ... to program your model. With the programable cyber key your model will be able to learn and remember commands given by you which is all in the learn mode. These models can snap their jaws, wag their tail, flap their wings, nod their head, blink their eyes, and even move their arms. These models are very advanced and I would say that it would be ages 12+. However it took me 10 hours to build. After I was done it started doing cool things. I have had this set for one month and I still enjoy playing with the models.

A Treat for Your Bright and Mechanically Inclined Child

I just don't have enough nice things to say about this toy! The models are engaging and fun to build, and as is the case with most K'NEX toys, the play doesn't stop just because the construction stage is over. This toy responds to the child's commands, has its own set of personalities, and reacts to its environment.

Very engaging!

My only complaint is that the Nerf-like missiles that it fires are exactly the right size to be dangerously deadly choking hazards for younger children.

I would also like to praise the K'NEX company for its quick response to a minor problem: One of the computer processors in the set didn't work properly, and the company shipped out a replacement -- at no charge whatsoever -- overnight!

K'NEX -- if only it had been around when I was a kid!

Best value in speakers

These do NOT sound like $200 speakers. They sound like $500 speakers. These are probably the best value in speakers out there and come from the golden age of cambridge soundworks. They are durable, easy to set up on stands or wall mounts, solid cable pegs on back, sound great, form factor is small and non-intrusive. The grills can be removed to reveal the cones for a different look. They can be used for anyI used to work for a audio store and these things were our work horses. They would hold their own against all but the highest end $1000+ speakers. Perhaps the biggest thing is their durability though. During my entire time at the store, I can't recall ever getting a single return on these. I've never seen one broken nor did any one come in with buyers remorse. While the free standing speakers shown here are discontinued, CSW has started making the inwall version again.

MC300

You really can't do any better for the price. The MC300 is a true audiophile speaker, and has been reviewed and given great scores by various audiophile websites/magazines. I own 3 of these in a MCM arrangement (Main/Center/Main) the sound quality is phenomenal and truly gives you sound as your supposed to hear it. The only downside would be that they cant really dish out the bass, but get yourself a good sub and you will have everything covered. I have done numerous speaker demos which include various speakers from B&W and Paradigm, and they didn't even have a chance against these. And you pay 20x's less than if you were to buy one of those other 'high end' brands.If you in the market for a satellite surround system, dont want to break the bank but want really awesome sound that's full, clear and crisp. Get the MC300's. You will NOT find a better satellite speaker system on the market, I guarantee that.

Great for music as well as movies

I own three of these speakers and use them as the front left, right, and center for my home theater. These are really terrific speakers, and can be aquired at a reasonable price. I have been listening to these for over a year now, and they are fully broken in. I listen to a lot of music with them including Super Audio CD's, as well as watch TV and movies. These have great range and responsiveness as well as a depth of tone that is very satisfying.I had really become accustomed to these, but when I swapped in an inexpensive pair of bookshelf speakers for the L & R channels (to test out before installing in another room), suddenly it sounded like a whole layer of aural richness had been stripped away and I could hardly wait to get the MC300's hooked back up!

The Job Laminator

The 3M LS950-E Laminating System by 3M, is great and saves time. I have used this item for over a year, I have completed programs, and made a book for my pastors family with memoriable pictures of his wife and their mother before she passed away. It was unexpected and she had 12 living children. We took so many pictures during church activities, to where I had picutures they did not, and they had pictures they wanted to share with other family members. I was so busy trying to complete these books before family members left town, but with this great machine and continuous lamination paper, I had no problem. I could tell by looking before it ran out without messing up paper and valuable time. This machine is good for quick, small and big jobs. I use it for my daugheters certificates and my own. I have also talked my job into purchasing two for the office we have 450 employees and they love to have things given to them to show we appreciate their hard work, lamination help your memories last forever. If you haven't tired it you should and you will not be disappointed. It is also unbreakable,you get a lot out of your product, and the refill price is reasonable.

a great product

This product is the best! It's so simple to use- no heat- no thermals- just the simple turning of a crank. Simple is often better and that is definitely the case here. I use the tool to laminate spec sheets for selling high end sports cars and the result is super professional. I suggest also getting a paper cutter from staples because you may want to trim up the end product.

does exactly what it says

using a pro tools HD native card with a lynx aurora 16 is working out great for me. the only issue is you can't route computer audio (itunes, youtube, etc...) though the native card.i'm using a Dangerous D-box as a monitor controller and it has an EBU XLR input. my macpro has a TOShttp://amzn.com/dp/B000068OGR/?tag={ucomicscom} out. add the Hosa and my world is suddenly perfect.boom.

Pleased but

I really enjoy having such a sureal model and toy of a truely great ship in the star trek line, but as with anything made in china it suffers in quality big time. My Enterprise even with new batteries will not light up any more and the warp necell on one side can barely stay on. Please lets start making things like these as well as other products in at least the same continent as the show is produced! Most of my family and friends would prefer to have the word made in china disappear comepletely! Our dollars are going farther, but what we buy(made in china) does not last. Big business will never learn, all for a bigger buck, and less on quality.

Great for collectors

This is a well thought out replica for collectors.

Nacelles, deflector dish, impulse engine all light up once you flip the switch in the battery compartment to Normal play mode, as do the additional sound effects. It is set in demo mode at the store so that your batteries aren't drained before you buy it- good thinking Art Asylum.

Attachment for base is separate and if you want to hang the model in the air, you can just ignore the attachment. This makes the model a clean replica- again kudos to Art Asylum. In fact the entire replica has only 1 small screw.

Model is a little small compared to the Playmates ships but there is more detail and everything is already painted unlike Playmates where you still have to stick on the decals.

I hope Art Asylum makes ships from Nemesis some day.

The Newest, Oldest Enterprise

The Enterprise NX-01 represents the first Starship Enterprise in the Star Trek universe, so although it's featured in the newest Trek series, this is the 'oldest' Enterprise. This is a cool replica of the vessel seen on TV every week, with nice sound effects and terrific attention to detail- even though it seems to be missing two small protrusions on the upper hull which are visible on TV (and on the photos on back of the box). It captures the lean, "racehorse" look that characterizes the NX-01. The hull details are entirely accurate as far as I can tell; unfortunately they are painted on rather than molded in. My only real complaints are the lights, which are placed so that you have to look directly at the front of the warp nacelles to see them (in the case of the impulse engines, you must look directly from the rear); the deflector dish, which is made of a soft plastic and was bent out of shape in my model; and the display stand, which is beautiful to look at but surprisingly flimsy. I replaced my display stand with one from a Star Wars Action Fleet toy (it takes just a minute with a Dremel drill to make a hole for the stand). However, these are small flaws in an otherwise beautiful model. Kudos to Art Asylum for bringing it to us, and to the Trek producers for insisting on such an accurate reproduction (for a really horrible reproduction, see the Playmates brand "First Contact" USS Enterprise, which bore no resemblace to the ship seen in the film- and which may have had something to do with the change in manufacturers). For Star Trek fans, the Enterprise NX-01 is worth the money and it was worth waiting for.

On May 12, 2010, I ordered a used 3M Model 9100 overhead projector from Oneil Imports in Carrollton, Tx. - I was so excited and pleased when it was actually delivered On May 17, 2010. We took it up to the church (for which it was ordered), to try it out - and when we plugged it in - and turned it on - were delighted to see it turn on and showed a large lighted square on the wall for our overheads. Then withing seconds of turning it on, it quit running. We tried several times to get it to stay running. It would not. - I believe this to be a defective piece of equipment - I would like a total refund of cost and shipping.This company is not rated by the BBB. And to the BBB's knowledge this business had closed their doors - not so. I would not recommend ordering anything from this business.I tried calling this company - two different phone numbers - both had been disconnected.

Good projector

I purchased a used 3M 9100 for my wife for her craft projects. The projector arrived with a significantly damaged projector head and a twisted and bent projector arm. Surprisingly, the lenses and glass table were intact. Following contact through Amazon, the seller (realfinds) offered to send a replacement unit however I requested just the arm and head and replaced the damaged parts myself (just one screw and a bolt to remove the arm assembly). As for the 3M 9100 - Pluses: The overhead projector works well for our purposes, sturdy base unit and arm, arm pivots for storage, easy bulb changes, focus and adjustments are ok. Minuses: bulky to store, even with the folding arm, no carrying handle, lens mount rather flimsy, hard to access lens for cleaning, middle grade fit and finish. A 4 star product.

Excellent Projector

This projector is bright enough to be used in the daytime and doesn't require much distance to get a large screen on the wall. The casing is strongly built out of metal except on the top of the projector which is hard plastic. The projector has a knob to switch between two bulbs so that if one goes out, you can switch to the second one and replace the burnt-out bulb later.I would recommend this for meetings, classrooms, and for arts and crafts use.

An Excellent Toy!!!!

Okay, I got my Phase Pistol and Communicator and I have to say that I am very impressed with the attention do detail! I'd like to know what in God's name was that guy talking about with Playmates attention detail (or lack there of)?! Yeah, if collectors were so happy with Playmates, then why did Paramount drop their license?! The Phase Pistol is a good start. First, the toy is made of HEAVY plastic and has incredible detail. Second, the housing (which by the way, on mine closes fine.) opens to reveal a removable battery cell (I don't recall Playmates doing anything of the sort!). Also included with the Phase Pistol is the Communicator. I will say they could have done a little better on this one (i.e. the screen should be blue not green) however, the sound effects are really good (it also uses Scott Bakula's voice not just a random voice). Another thing I'd like to mention is that the molds for these were cast DIRECTLY from the studio props (Paramount was so pleased with the detail that they are actually thinking of using them for "long shots" on the show!) I'd recommend these to ANY Star Trek fan!!!

Own a piece of the show

I think this is probably one of the best prop replica/toys ever made. Since it's actually made from the same molds as the real props used on Enterprise, you know that this is what Scott Bakula has strapped to his hip and not an over or undersized replica. Only quibble I have is that it does feel a tad light, but other than that it's great. The communicator while feeling a little "toy-ish" is still kinda neat with the nice BRIGHT green display. Green or blue... doesn't matter really, it's bright and has a nice sound. The aforementioned orange cap on the tip, while kinda cheesy, not really THAT bad. If it bothers you, then get some duct tape or buy a ... bottle of grey or silver model paint. I just consider it a "refit" lol...

I like the fact that it uses button batteries, not as heavy as some of Playmate's toys and the fact that the phase pistol has the power cell which also acts like a key for the gun. If it's out, the pistol won't make noise. (Good if you've got a little kid around and don't want them to drain the battery!) Also helps kinda make it feel like the real thing, nice light up powercell that you can take out.

The communicator has a very good quality soundchip. Wish it said more and maybe had a movable button (that round one would be nice as a rocker) but, all in all, it's neat. I think if you bought this, you wouldn't regret it, and is a heckuva lot cheaper than buying a prop replica or something. And if you're a collector, ordering from Amazon will almost assue you of a mint/near mint condition box that hasn't been played with or had price tags applied.

So go and blast some Suliban and tell Archer you love this set!

Go to your local Fantasy Gaming store, and get two jars; one will be called "Smelly Primer", the other is "Mithril Silver". Get a VERY small-bristled brush to apply primer first, then MS after it dries.

Result? A dead-on-PERFECT replica of the Phase Pistol; just brush on LIGHTLY around the orange tip.
