Missed the originals? Never fear!

I was lucky enough to get the entire set of the original Gone With the Wind Barbies and the Ken, but now I'm just mad that I fell for it. This doll, created in the likeness of film star Vivien Leigh, is much more elaborate and actually looks like Vivian, not Barbie. From her soft, wavy brown hair to her perfect southern belle face, this stunning doll from Mattel is one of the most beautiful I've laid eyes on. Her costume, created from satin,lace, velvet, and layers upon layers of printed guaze, captures all the beauty of the gown in the film. The ensemble is topped off with wrist-length sheer gloves and a big straw hat with a velvet band and over sized bow. The look is finished with gold, dangling earrings and a "Coral" flower necklace.

Everyone will love her costume, and fans of the movie CAN'T pass her up. Plus, she's the first in this series, and the first doll of a series is ALWAYS the hardest to get. So, what are you wating for? Put her in your cart right now. Believe me when I say you won't regret it.

Beautiful Doll

This may seem like an over priced doll, but after my research, their are only two Scarlett O'Hara dolls that have face sculpturing. This doll has the better sculpturing, and is more afordable. This doll definitly looks like Vivien Leigh. Miss Scarlett comes with a white lace shaw, her lovely dress and hat, green ribbons in her hair, her era and movie replica white shoes, pantalones with a green trim, and her lovely jewlery that she wore in the movie. Her hair is beautifully curled. She also has a slip under her dress that you poof out for that southern belle look. This doll makes a good addition (or start) to your collection.

This doll is very special. She makes us remember the beauty Scarlett O'Hara showed at Twelve Oaks. Gone with the Wind is the greatest movie of all time and I'm sure this Scarlett doll will be judged by many as the most enchanting doll ever made.

Wish they'd made this when I was a kid

My daughter's 5th birthday was yesterday and we got this for her. It is so much fun for her, plus it's GREAT that this does not need batteries to run. The ramp for the coaster (which has two one-seat cars) and the 4 seat ferris wheel are run by a crank on the back of the toy and my 5 year old can easily take the kids in and out of the seats. There is also a snack shop with popcorn, raisinets, and Nestle Crunch bars for when the kids get hungry. She played with it for hours and she says it's her favorite present. I even enjoyed playing with it. :-)

Really works

My 3 year old got this for her birthday and I assumed it would be hard to work. I was wrong! My daughter can easily set the cars on the track, turn the handle and away they go. As long as she turns the handle the cars keep moving and so does the ferris wheel. Fun imaginative play toy.

Cool Toy.

This is a COOL Toy! My brother and I enjoy it a lot! It's Educational because we have experimented by putting books under it to make bigger hills. Ferris wheel is Great! It is VERY easy to set up and take down. We also bought the set with the bumper cars and Carousel. Hope this helps!

What a great gadget!

Many gadgets for the kitchen are less than essential. Some are pretty foolish. But the Showtime Indoor Rotisserie & BBQ from Ronco is a machine that our family uses, I would guess, about three times a week. Not only does it do a real job, it performs tasks that we can't otherwise accomplish in our kitchen. For example, a bread machine is a convenience, but not essential for baking a loaf of bread. The rotisserie grill, however, turns out food that I could not produce any other way.

Although we've mostly done chickens, we have also cooked chicken pieces, bratwurst, beef roasts, pork roasts and a leg of lamb. We successfuly roasted a 13 lb turkey. We even cooked frozen salmon filets in the basket after a quick basting with herbed mayonnaise and it came out delicious.

The food quality is, simply put, fantastic. The whole chickens are far superior to even the most conscientiously roasted poultry. The dark meat is tender and fully cooked, the white meat moist and savory, and the seasoned, crisped skin is a nutritionist's worst nightmare. A cheap, rather fatty pork shoulder roast came out with much of the fat rendered away and an even doneness that made for delicious eating.

Speaking of fat, Ron Popiel markets this machine on his informercials as causing the "fat to run off," thereby delivering some kind of health advantage. Well, the fat does drip continuously, but the poultry and meats cooked in the rotisserie are plenty greasy. Please be aware that this is certainly part of the reason the chicken is so good! I don't think there is any more or less fat in a rotisseried chicken than in a roast bird.

If you don't want to use the skewers or rods, you can cook foods in an adjustable basket. For example, we put in several bratwurst, set the top of basket down so that the links are tightly in place, set the timer for 20 minutes, and come back to sausages that are fully cooked, lighly crisped on the skin, and bursting with juices.

I really like the engineering on this machine. The controls are very simple. The setup is uncomplicated and intuitive. You have only one heat setting, and adjust the time to control doneness. A single timer dial works both to set time and turn the machine on and off. In an age where a TV remote comes with four dozen buttons, this kind of plain, understable usability is, I think, a real blessing.

I bought the reconditioned model from Amazon and haven't had any trouble so far. Hey, if a machine comes out of the factory with a defect (and some are going to), why not get one that has been diagnosed and repaired? At the price savings it's really hard to go wrong. I'd recommend the Showtime Rotisserie to anyone.

Set it, but *DON'T* forget it!

I'll admit - I haven't had as much fun with a kitchen appliance since I was eight and got an easy bake oven! The Showtime really is about showmanship: wonderful aromas in your kitchen and meat dripping tantalizingly as it rotates.

While this unit is working, I won't be buying supermarket rotisserie chicken again! For 1/3 the price, I can have a bigger chicken, that hasn't been sitting under hot lamps waiting for purchase, nor getting soggy skinned in the bag on the way home.

On the minus side, ******do NOT***** take Ron Popeil's informercial "literally". "Set it and forget it"? You are going to want to watch the oven while it's roasting, because an improperly skewered or improperly balanced load could result in smoke or fire...or if what's cooking has a lot of grease, it could conceivably overfill the drip tray and spill out of the oven bottom...consider it an appliance due attention and respect, just like a deep fryer or a waffle iron.

As for taking up a tiny footprint in your kitchen: well...the Showtime covers a small area, being about 10X14X14, but as a practical matter, you need considerably more space. The literature says not to put it under a low cabinet! (It needs 8" clearance on top and around sides/back to avoid possible heat damage or fire to your surroundings!) And you probably want to have about a foot of free countertop in front of it, as well. The tempered glass door slides under it neatly enough, but when it's time to pull your entree out, it's going to be dripping those lovely juices all over your floor, unless you've got a plate right up to the unit to drop your meal onto. For our tiny kitchen, the solution is to use my rolling cart's cutting board surface, after I've done my other dinner prep - that way, I can keep the Showtime well away from heat-damageable stuff.

Note that this unit appears to be disappearing in favor of a newer model with a digital display. "Big deal" ...but the fact that this is the older model is something to keep in mind when doing a price comparison.

Great food, Awful customer service

I have had my unit for over a year. It makes the best food even better, the problem is when something goes wrong as the company will never reply to their Emails. Mine first broke on Thanksgiving day. I Emailed them requesting information on replacement parts, No reply. 2 months ago the timer handle broke so I Emailed them again, 2 Emails 0 replies. If you buy the item you will enjoy it until it breaks.

I bought this from Amazon in November and it went kaput in December. I since sent it back to Koss taking them up on their lifetime warrenty. I recieved a free new energizer unit. This headphone is excellent (and I own many of the top brands); Use it with a tube headphone amplifier to get best results.

An audio classic that still sounds great

The Koss ESP-950 has been around for over 20 years, and yet it holds up when compared to the best headphones available today. This is an electrostatic design, known for it's clear and lifelike presentation. Stax, from Japan, is the leader in electrostatic headphones, but the American-made Koss compares well with the Stax Lambda line, comes with a lifetime warranty, and includes a portable amp and a calfskin carrying case for less than the cost of the Stax Lambda models. The overall presentation of ESP-950 is accurate, musical and detailed, with details apparent even at lower listening levels. The bass is slightly rolled-off, but the sound of a string bass (an instrument I used to play) is very accurate. The best sound qualities of this headphone, though, are shown in it's very sweet midrange -- this is a great headphone for vocals. I've owned the Sennheiser HD600 (a well-regarded high-end headphone), as well as the Stax Lambda Pro and I prefer the sound of the Koss ESP-950. Highly recommended!

Terrific headphone

This is an excellent headphone. With electrostatic headphones like this one, Stax, Sennheiser HE60/90, etc., you always get wonderful clarity. The sound is light, airy, and very pleasing. I often find myself turning up the volume when listening to electrostats because they don't hurt your ears as much as dynamic headphones. The trade-off is generally slightly less bass (although I wouldn't call these bass-shy), and a little less "weight" to the tone.Are there better headphones out there? Certainly. But at this price, you won't find a better electrostat. And it comes with an amplifier included. If you want to get a taste of an electrostatic sound, but don't want to spend the big bucks for a Stax Omega II, or a Stax SR-009, this is the way to go (I find this headphone much more enjoyable than the similarly-priced) Stax Lambda series.

Oh, what a difference!

I've had my share of joysticks in the past, and have never really been satisfied with any of them. This is due, in part, to my being left handed and not wanting to 'stick with my right. The Cyborg is different. This is a joystick that is truly a joy to use. The most readily apparent feature of the Cyborg that sets it apart is the ability to adjust the various parts of the stick. Not only can you swap things around from right handed mode to left handed mode, but you can also adjust the depth and angle of the thumb triggers on the top of the stick. You wouldn't guess that this is a comfortable stick just by looking at it; it is very industrial looking. But I have not had any of my usual hand cramps or sore thumb joints using it. The buttons are arranged in such a way so as to make four of them easily accessible without adjusting your grip on the stick (trigger and three thumb buttons). You also have an 8 direction hat in easy reach. I find the buttons to have a nice amount of play (very little), though this is a personal preference, and they all have an audio and tactile response. One of the nicest features of the Cyborg is odd looking external spring at the base of the stick. This spring not only gives the joystick a nice amount of resistance to movement without making you really torque on it to get to the extreme angles, but it also keeps the stick perfectly centered when you aren't applying pressure. Every other joystick I have used relies on internal methods in the base of the unit for centering, and all of them inevitably fail, resulting in annoying drift. The only potential drawback to the Cyborg is that it isn't force feedback. That's great for me because I have found FF devices to be pretty silly, but some folks like them. For a sturdy, reliable, comfortable joystick, I have yet to find anything that comes close to the Cyborg.

This is maybe the best joystick I have ever owned. The 3D Rudder Twist,The 8 way hat switch,The ambidextrous design fit for left,right,and switch holders.The joystick also comes with a tool that is used for adjusting many parts of the joystick itself.This joystick has power and precision,two main "P's" reqired for a great joystick.Look how high the sales rank is for this joystick.To my opinion,this joystick could be better than Microsoft's Precision 2 joystick! The bad part may be that is is not force feedback which is alright with me since force does irritate my handling. The other problem is that I heard that there are some problems with loading the stick to the computer. This never happened to me due to the fact that my download was quick and easy. I think that problem only occurs to some people.Overall,this joystick is amazing,even having some extra downloads to the stick! As you have noticed Saitek joystick has a decent price for good quality stick. This is exceptional for MS Flight Simulator 2002.Finally, this stick comes with USB port.No joystick port? No problem.I highly recommend this stick to anybody who loves a quality joystick at a decent price.

Saitek 3D Gold USB Joystick

I am very happy with this joystick. It installed without any problems. Although I don't really care for the software game extensions. Anyway I have used this joystick with Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3D, Star Wars Episode 1 Racers (the pod racing), and Star Wars Battle for Naboo. In each case my scores inproved over those I could obtain with a Sidewinder pro force feedback stick. I thiink the USB connection has alot to do with the better response speed. I found the Saitek 3D Gold comfortable and very precise after calibration. I just ordered a second one. Amazon has it (...)! This is a bargin I highly recommend this deal. My system is a P4 1.5 ghz 128mb ram 32 mb video card. It lets me play the games fast and furious. I am not that great at games but this joystick has helped me play much better. I have far more 1st place wins with the pod racers than I though possible for me as well as more gold medals in Rogue Squadron 3D. I also recommend these games.
