5You gotta get one!!
By A. Kennedy
There are various reasons why I love my webtv. First of all...so much easier than a computer and does basically all the same things. You can email, send and receive photos and voice mail recordings, print, surf the net, build web pages. You also do not EVER have to worry about viruses or upgrading. Webtv upgrades automatically when they have something new. Our latest is instant messaging which is great!!

5Send photos and voice recordings to your famil and friends
By A Customer
I have both the phillips and the sony models. My girlfriend and I send photos and recordings all over the world. We like the sony a little more because it is faster. But we reccommend both. You are going to spend a little more for the sony because of the larger memory and speed. I tried to email and download photos on a computer and it takes 4 times as long just to figure out how to do it. With webtv I'm allready done.

5Good! I Just Wish That Lightening Hadn't Zapped Mine!
By A Customer
I had The Philips Magnavox Web TV Plus Internet receiver, I got it as a Christmas gift in 1999 or 2000 and I loved it. Before that I had an old computer that was on it's last legs so when a friend who has Web TV told me about it and that it was cheaper then buying a new computer I made plans on buying one for myself so I was very happy when I got one as a Christmas gift. I loved so many things about The Web TV Plus, one thing was putting the html sigs in my email but I think what I really loved the most was being able to watch TV while I was online and I even had it set up where I could watch a DVD or video while I was reading or composing email or reading or writing reviews on Amazon, etc, and even though I'm not a person who watches TV all day long I really loved getting my weeks worth of TV Listings and setting reminders of movies and TV shows I wanted to see so I could set my VCR timer and tape them or watch them while online but Unfortunately my Web TV Plus receiver broke after a thunder and lightening storm struck the phone lines and zapped the modem and for some theyare not making plus receivers anymore so I had to get a classic Unit.

5beware of problems with previous Panasonic cordless multi-ln
By Mark in Hoboken
I recently purchased a Panasonic cordless multi-line phone, model #KX-TG4000B. My model must be a slightly older model, compared with this new Panasonic model #KX-T7885. The other difference is mine (G4000B) is 2.4GHz, versus this one (7885) is a 900MHz. The reason that I'm writing this review is because I wanted to WARN people about a serious flaw with the older model (G4000B), so that people can make sure that this new model (7885) does NOT have the same flaw. The KX-TG4000B does not allow more than one handset to be connected to the same line at the same time. In other words, if someone calls you on Line #1, and you answer with the base unit, then other people in your house cannot join the conversation on Line #1. If you try to join Line #1 from another handset, then you get a "BUSY message and busy signal. It's crazy. The phone is essentially useless, because of this one major flaw. Double-check the 7885 model to make sure it doesn't have this same flaw.

5Breathtaking Picture
By Robert
Wow, this Sony CRT blows away the LCD and Plasma's I've seen from today. If you can live with a 230lb behemoth this TV will not disappoint. The color and clarity with a good DVD player have left me unwilling to upgrade for many years. Computer gamers have known for years that CRT's provide a superior picture to LCD's and this still holds true for the most part. Another thing about this TV is the great sound quality. The benefit of the size of this television is it has REAL SPEAKERS that pump some serious sound. Once manufacturers went with flat televisions they started compromising on speaker quality to fit the small confines. This TV sounds amazing and has the best Base I've ever heard from a TV.

5Very High Quality
By A Customer
This television was purchased as a daily viewer and it has been great! All I added was a Sony Surround Sound System ($1200) and some digital cable and I was good to go! I recommend this television set if you don't want to spend the extra thousands to get a quality t.v.

5Highest Quality VCR!
By psalm84:11
I have had many VCRs. If a tape pulls hard they will slip timing. This means the teeth on the gears no longer align perfectly. I have found them to be somewhat "Rube Goldberg." This means they have many delicate interacting parts. The Mitsubishi VCRs have mechanisms that are direct straightforward and heave duty. The machines I got were older models. This means1: not particle board but real wood-this is an analogy.2: do not have copyright protection built in.I will not use them until needed-which may never happen!

4Superb, plain and simple.
By Rambris Fredrik
I have had this for a couple of weeks now and I am very impressed with the unit.

Both video and audio quality is extremly good. It's so exact that MPEG artifacts are visible on low quality movies that doesn't show on other DVD players. I haven't noticed any jerkyness at all when watching DVDs. Most DVD players jerk when switching layer but this one doesn't.

On the negative side I have had some problems playing some of my own VCDs and it doesn't play SVCDs. But weigh that with the superb quality and MP3 capability it is definitly worth every dollar.

5Great DVD/CD combination, supports lots of formats!
By Mihailo Despotovic
Highlights: CD-R/RW, HDCD and MP3 compatibility (with a good user interface), fantastic pure CD player, has both PAL and NTSC outputs. I really like the HDCD compatibility, the sound from a HDCD disc is really better and warmer than from an ordinary CD. This player is probably the best deal for bucks if you are looking for a multiformat DVD/CD combination with an excellent CD part. The CD part of the specifications is really awesome, this player outperforms many dedicated CD players! I am using an (Monster) optical cable between the Denon and my Sony STR333ES and then Monster cables to Jamo Classic 10 speakers. All components are pretty synchronized and in the same price/quality range and everything sounds and looks (Sony Wega TV) great. The DVD picture is much better than with my old Sharp DVD player and the sound coming from DVD is simply non comparable at all. My unit is manufactured in September 2001 and DOES NOT HAVE THE FAMEOUS BLACK DOT RELATED TO THIS MODEL but the version of the firmware is the correct one and there are no any bugs mentioned on various Internet forums. The MP3 interface is very intuitive one and similar to a file system browser on any GUI enabled computer platform.

5Really Nice even for today's standards.
By M. Sharpe
I purchased this player this year, 2011, for a Cd player. I tried it out on a movie just to make sure it'd read the disc because I had read that it was faulty out of the box when it was new and was surprised at how good the picture looked, not as good as the 3910 but still very good even with component video interlaced. The Optical audio out was a little loose so it's a Cd player like I first planned but will most likely use it as a bedroom player or something later on.Pros:Big, heavy, well built like a tank.Nice big feet on the bottom.Heavy duty metal outer casing. You can't hear this player running when watching a movie.Very attractive, not much writing on the front. Not dinky! Big loading tray, over-sized probably. this player looks like it should be sitting in a rich person's house under a 90" plasma TV.Might fine picture and Audio for such an old player.Good sized remote easy to use.Metal face plate. These days a good price you can find them used all over Ebay.Removable power cord.Same exact width as all other Denon components and players.Cons:No headphone jack.No menu navigation on the player itself.A little noisy when loading a disc.On the remote the "enter" button is not in the center of the arrow keys like on other players.Remote can't turn the power all the way off just standby. No dimmer.Really the cons are fairly trivial but there they are. Like I said, this is a good player even though it's old the picture and audio are surprisingly good but I guess that's Denon.
