5Unbelievable
By Ben Burke
For 10 years, I had been using my home theatre in what is known as Dolby Pro Logic "phantom" mode and no subwoofer. Phantom mode means no center channel speaker was being used. Last week, I got an Infinity center channel and Velodyne's CHT-12 subwoofer. The addition of the Infinity was good, but Velodyne's CHT-12 subwoofer is absolutely awesome! Movies sound much better and I can now feel what was meant to be felt. I'm in the process of watching all my DVD's again to hear what I've been missing. Purchasing a Velodyne is something I should have done 10 years ago.

5Video Review of the Velodyne CHT12
By CKE
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1ZSEVF5UPTSZF The Velodyne CHT12 is the definition of bass - room feeling, bone rattling bass. Now that is great, but is that all that it does.... not at all.A few features of the Velodyne CHT 12 -- 170RMS (I misspoke in the video portion when I said 180) and 400 watt of peak power. This is enough power to be very effective with the 12" woofer.- Deep bass response - I have never found any song that the CHT12 could not handle. While it does not go *all-the-way* to 20Hz it doesn't miss by much. It is listed as 25Hz, but it is effective all the way down into the low 30'sHz.-Plenty of crossover options, both direct and indirect- The ability to run two speakers directly out of the subwoofer.- For use in an entertainment center... it is fantastic. Not only does the CHT12 reproduce the frequencies needed, but it has the ability to move enough air to make you actually feel the sound. It is hard to explain, but if you watch a movie that features a helicopter... people in the room will begin to duck!- General music - you may need to turn some of the volume down on the unit or everything will have a tendency to seem a little boomy.Final Verdict - A great subwoofer for audiophile and entry level users - buy with confidence!5 Stars

5a home craftsman
By A Customer
I do various home repairs on my own home and on my rental properties. I needed a good quality air compressor for my nail guns and I purchased the Dewalt D55151. A framer friend of mine recommended the oil fil type as apposed to the oil-free version. I have had the compressor for about 2 months and so far it has performed better than I ever expected! It's great! The only drawback is that it does not come with a female hose connector, so I purchased and installed a manifold to accept 2 female connectors.

5User friendly compressor
By William G. Luther
This is probably the best small compressor I have owned. It is very user friendly, relatively quiet and it comes up to full pressure rapidly. It also has the added durability feature of an oil reservoir to keep the piston well lubed.Previous small compressors I have owned were oiless types and were prone to freeze up under prolonged use.Not so with this model.

3Doesn't match up to a Makita MAC2400
By Tim Lambert
I've had this DeWalt compressor for three years and have cussed it the last two years. It performs horribly when it's cold, takes a long time to fill with air and is fairly loud. I really didn't realize how much I hated it until I finally had enough and purchased a Makita MAC2400. It is twice the compressor, performs great when it's cold and is half as loud as the DeWalt. The Makita is a little heavier, but for only $20 more you get a much better compressor.

1Doesn't deserve any stars-Cheaply built, poor relief and PAPER
By C66Master
This globe is a glamorous cardboard ball with a sticker on it. The "relief" bumps to signify mountain ranges is actually off register (does not line up) with the map adhered to it. Cheap, horribly built, of no discernable quality.I'm returning it. I've had globes before in my 40 years of life, this is junk.

2Overpriced for product
By JustJeri
We purchased this globe as a gift. Even being aware of the dimensions, it still appeared smaller than we expected. The post that the globe stands on seems very cheap and wobbly. For the high cost, we expected a higher quality. It just seemed liked a $6.99 Walmart school globe on a cheap hollow stick for $70. I'll be waiting to hear if it stands up use, or if the globe cracks or while spinning it breaks, it appears that cheap.

5Replogle Globe
By R. Haines
This was purchased as a gift and the recipient (my mother-in-law) was very happy with it. Although not necessary I would suggest buying a three inch 10X magnifying glass for those with close-up vision problems. I purchased a good quality magnifying glass with a similar type wooden handle on Ebay for about $15.00 to go along with the gifted globe. The 12" globe is an ideal size because it doesn't take up much space but a smaller globe would be harder to read. The stand is of good quality and can be converted to desktop or floor use very easily. For the price I was very impressed with the construction of this replogle model globe and would not hesitate to buy another.

4Tango with Jango
By Catharsise
Lets get right to it. This is a good figure, with good character likeness, that looks good when fully outfitted. Jango comes in a big box (16"x13"x4"), dressed only in his blue coveralls, boots and one of the two included sets of interchangeable gauntleted hands. The other set, instead of having molded plastic fingers (best for gun handling), has bendable fingers (best for creative hand gestures, pointing and holding onto things like the edge of your shelf). Two small back tubes extend from each gauntlet and tuck neatly into the coveralls' sleeve-slots representing the electronic interface for the gauntlet armament.

In the box, Jango is surrounded by his armor and equipment that includes, a one piece chest/backplate that clamshells over the figure with two very fragile looking vinyl button/strap connectors on each side. There are two (2) separate jetpacks, one with firing missle and one backup jetpack without a missle. They attach to the chest/backplate via a large notched slot. A small dart attached to a long thread line (actually there are two of them inasmuch as one is already attached to one set of the gauntlets) is included. The double holstered and pouched utility belt is painted to look like weathered brown leather with intergral codpiece armor painted silver. Two (2) chromed blaster pistols, Jango's helmet with positionable range finder, and additional armor pieces include two (2) shin plates, two (2) knee guards, and two (2) thigh plates round out this set.

Out of the box, don't plan on dressing and undressing this figure alot. The thigh straps for the double holsters (which must stretch around the thigh armor plate to be positioned correctly), are one-piece and molded to the holsters. They are thin and have a limited amount of elasticity. These straps have small molded-in locking devices ("tongue and tunnel") that only work if you loop the ends back thru the tunnel. This makes it impossible for the ends to slip back through the tunnel. You must use caution though because you are stretching this plastic strap around the fabric covered thigh of the fugure and the velcro held (but not too well) armor thigh plate, then looping it. Too much force and you have snapped the strap. The armor pieces have a 1/4" square velcro swatch on the backside, coinciding with reciprocal velcro swatches located on the front of Jango's coveralls (shin, knee and thigh). As mentioned before, these swatches do not position or hold the armor pieces in-place very well. The armor itself is more like soft vinyl, but with a tenacious memory. Flexing the armor pieces and bunching Jango's coveralls beneath them, then letting the vinyl's memory and the velcro swatches lock in-place, works well for positiong the pieces. Once fully dressed and armored, Jango's biggest challenge has arrived.....standing up. The reason most Hasbro figures have difficulty standing is because the feet cannot stand firmly on a level surface. Hasbro Boots with heels are the cause. Try some wet newspaper (paper mache), or play-doh, or modeller puddy, or three dimes, tamped into the heel portion of the boots. This should provide a firm platform for Jango's feet. Overall, This is one of the best 12" SW figures to date.

3More "dis-play"-ability than Playability
By Sean McGrath
The Attack of the Clones 12" line thus far has been far superior than Hasbro's previous Star Wars 12" products (with the exception of the highly overpriced Sith Lords two pack). This is the second best of them (the first being the clone trooper). It is highly detailed and looks very cool on the shelf. Despite being marked as poseable I dare anyone to keep any of the 12 inches standing unless they are fully standing straight up.The figure is packaged with Jango just in his jump suit and all of his armor off which means you have to put everything on (unless you want to keep him only in his jumpsuit). This proved to be almost as challenging as building the LEGO Jango Fett. The jump suit is rather baggy which makes it extremely difficult to get get the leg armor and gun holsters on. Including both the rocket firing pack and the jet-pack was a nice touch. Once it is all together though it looks great and is a must have for any Boba/Jango fan. Overall I'll say excellent concept for a toy...slightly less than perfect execution.

5Great Sander - Great Value (Update in 2010)
By NJ Reviewer
I rec'd the sander a few days ago. It went together easy. It was quite heavy. Unless you've got some muscles, get some help placing the sander body on the stand. The stand is solid and doesn't take up much floor space. There are pre-drilled carriage-bolt holes in the legs if you want to add your own lower shelf. I plan to do that at a later date but I thought it would be nice if Jet included the horizontal supports for such a shelf with the stand. Not a big negative just a suggestion. The stand comes with rubber-cushioned leveling feet unlike some of the other stands I've purchased in the past. It was a nice touch.Other than the stand, essentially the only assembly needed is to attach the work tables to the sander body. The instructions are pretty good and they show in some detail how you get the tables lined up square to the sanding surfaces. I had a little trouble getting the belt sander work surface to go on smoothly but after making some adjustments to the 90 degree stops, it seemed to go on more easily. The unit runs smoothly and with about as much noise as I would expect with a sander, although the graphite belt sander platen seems to make a little more "whooshing" sound when it starts up. The graphite is supposed to make it run cooler. I haven't confirmed that but it makes sense. There aren't any undue vibrations. Not having owned a stationary belt sander before this one (but I have used several) releasing the belt tension was new for me but makes sense. It's recommended so the belt doesn't take on an excessively oval shape or wear out prematurely. It's easy to do but I find that I have to line up the belt on the rollers before I move the tension arm back. Easy to do, just something to remember if you plan to release the tension when the machine is off.The belt sander will lay flat if you need to do some surface sanding. There's a horizontal stop but no vertical stop. However, eyeball vertical is fine since the work surface moves with the belt assembly and as such stays perpendicular. The disc sander is great for me. 9 inche diameter is all I need. I've considered 12 inch disc sanders but this machine gets the job done. I build furniture, cabinets and various (larger) craft items and I expect that it will handle my needs.Adjusting the work surfaces requires some patience but wasn't too difficult. For example, if you want to change the angle on the belt sander work surface, you need to loosen two locking handles and line up the angle that you need while maintaining a gap between the table and the sanding belt. I find that when I tightened the right-side locking handle, it pulls the table toward the belt. I don't use the belt sander at other that 90 degrees too often, so I don't expect this to be a big deal for me. The disc sander work surface on the other hand is a breeze to adjust. There's an angle indicator on the table, so once the index is set to zero for perpendicular, moving to any other angle is a snap....The 3/4 hp motor has yet to bog down on me. It seems adequately beefy so far.I think this is a great sander. I've considered spending some money on Jet's larger sander and others in that class and was also considering other brands with lower priced units ... but when Jet re-released this machine, it didn't take long for me to make up my mind. As I use the sander more, I'll add more comments, but I expect to be very happy with my purchase and expect most other woodworkers would be happy as well.Nice job to Jet on this one. I give it 5 stars for quality and value.====Update in 2010 (8 years later):Just a follow up. The sander is still working great. I do use it fairly often (belt side mostly) so it seems to have held up well. Have not had any wear issues on the table adjustments. I have yet to change the sanding disc but belt changes are easy. I never got around to adding a shelf under the unit. And related to that, the legs are more than stable enough without any lower braces. So I'm pretty happy. I expect to get many more years from the sander.

5The Sawdust Maker a/k/a Jet's Combination Sander
By J. A. Rapp
I just took delivery...of Jet's #708596K sander with the 9" disc and 6x48" belt and am VERY pleased with the purchase.

Packaging was excellent with everything strapped to a wood pallet. After unpacking, I set up the open stand on a mobile machine base, then simply bolted the sander to the top of the stand. [Be sure and read the directions on stand assembly as this will eliminate trial and error attempts at short cuts]

Installing the belt is quite easy. Adjusting it to track requires careful adjustment of the tracking wheel, but this takes less than one minute. Once the belt is tracking and not drifting left or right, it stays on track until the belt is changed or for 6 hours, whichever comes first. For whatever reason, the belt will get out of allignment just sitting there. It is a good thing that adjustment is a simple quick process.

The work support tables install easly and are excellent. All adjustments are up front and easy to make and once made, hold their position.

The main reason I purchased this unit over others in the market[some a good deal more expensive] is the outstanding dust collection system that is built into the machine. Belt and disc sanders can cover up a shop in sawdust in no time without some sort of dust control and this machine has the best I have seen. At the base of the belt there is a 2"x6" opening for the dust coming off the belt this feeds into collection area at the bottom of the machine. The disc has a 2 1/2" collection hole that also feeds into the base. Both of these openings are controlled be separate blast gates. at the back of the machine, there is a built in 4" exhaust port to connect to your dust system. This is an excellent design that gives you dustless sanding!

You can't go wrong with this machine. Particularly with Amazon's low price, no sales tax, and free shipping.

5Exellent belt sander
By B. Hamilton
I was a little skeptical about this product, because of the relativly low price and the 3/4 h.p. motor. My previous sander had a 1 & 1/2 h.p. motor, and cost ($$$) 15 years ago. Assembling the unit was straight-forward, and took about 30 minutes. The quality and craftmanship, with no regard concerning the price, is outstanding. Once I starting using the machine, I became equally impressed with it's function. My last concern, the 3/4 h.p. motor, has never slowed or bogged-down, even while force-feeding it with varions types of walnut, and mesquite. Everything works the way it is supposed to, and after 3 months of heavy use, I would highly reccommend this product to anyone seeking a heavy-duty home, or light-duty commercial belt sander.

4Make a Spider-Man Movie!
By Homa Woodrum
Okay, I'll admit that I don't have the Lego moviemaker, but this set is fun as a standalone. The only movie-related aspects are a director with his camera and lighting stands as well as a CD-ROM with (I assume) effects and sounds to enhance the moviemaker (if you have it). Let's start with Spider-Man -- I am a big Lego fan and comic book fan so this set is a match made in heaven. You have a lego Spidey minifig as well as a web and a long string of webbing for him to swing around with. Another minifig you get is Peter Parker -- he has a neat reversible head so on one side he has glasses and on the other he is without glasses. Peter comes with a camera that fits neatly into his hand. The other minifigs are the director, a bank robber, and a police officer with vehicle. The scene is a bank so there are pieces to represent money. I wasn't interested in anything but Spider-Man and Peter Parker so the rest of the set was a bonus. This will fit in with your town set perfectly. I took one star off because the police car has stickers that you have to place on the pieces when I'm certain lego is capable of printing the various markings directly onto the pieces. That might cause trouble -- I opted at first not to stick anything on the car and then when I tried to. . .it was painstaking. Be certain to pick up the Green Goblin & Mary Jane set, because while it is neat to have Spider-Man trap a bank robber in his web, its even better to have him fight a super villain! I think this is one of the best pieces of movie related merchandise because fans of the movie or the comic or both will enjoy this set.

2Built like a tank but....optics poor.
By Daniel Davies
I bought theses binoculars as work equipment. Their construction is tough as nails but they suffer greatly from internal reflections. Not recomended for low light or night use! (no 30mm objective will perform well in dim light) Best description would be STEINER LITE. Not up to the standards of the rest of the Steiner line.

4Extremely rugged and an overall good value...
By K. Jones
This binocular is seems extremely well constructed and rugged. The image quality is good (though not great). The sport focus system does not really work from 20 yards out (as advertised). It's fairly sharp from 70 yards or so out, but I've found I have to re-focus for the 20-70 yard range. The focus mechanism is fairly stiff, so it does stay put once focused. Despite the minor shortcomings, this binocular was exactly what I was looking for - lightweight, rugged, decent image, reasonable price.

5Shop the rest, buy the best, Steiner can't be beat.
By C. Bond
I spent weeks looking for the best set of binoculars for hunting and work. I have found that some have a better warranty such as Nikon but, I could not pass on the Steiners. I have used Steiners at work for years and they hold up well to abuse and will probably last a life time if handled under normal conditions. I hunt year round and love the fact once the eye pieces are set I don't have to change them. I can see from 20 feet to infinity without adjustment.
