OUTSTANDING SERVICE SAVED EASTER

I ordered the easter bunny costume to surprise my grandson and the mask is damaged. I am sooooo disappointed! The mouth of the mask has the white paint missing and it was damp when delivered so it looks like someone noticed the defect and tried to fix it. There is also paint missing near the left eye and the fur near the right eye is hard and matted. The outside packaging was fine but the inside original package was damaged and it looks like this may have been a previously returned product. I don't have time to return the costume since I need it for Sunday so I'm going to have to try to fix it myself. I feel like I got ripped off especially after I paid the extra shipping cost for express shipping! I feel that someone noticed the defects but because it was being mailed....who cares? Can you imagine the let down when I came home from work so excited that the costume arrived a day early only to open it and find it damaged? Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing you can do to rectify the situation since Easter is only 3 days away. This may be only a costume to you but to me its a lifetime memory for my grandson. How sad that your company didn't care about service. The most inportant thing about sales is service and you can't have one without the otherAfter writting the above review I received an email telling me that they were going to overnight another costume and they sent me a free return shipping label. I didn't mail the costume back right away because I didn't trust they would stand by their word but I was wrong! I received the new costume on Friday and it was perfect! Thank you so much for correcting the situation the way you did! It means so much to me and my family. My grandson was so surprised and he said "I can't believe I met the real live Easter Bunny" His memory was made....THANK YOU! I told everyone about your outstanding service and would absolutley do business with this company anytime. If anyone out there is looking for top notch service then you have found your place! This Bunny Hunny! was loved by all the children and even the adults, It fit like a glove on women and man up to size 22 ( women) and 46(man)....I would recommend it for any Easter celebration and it arrived in a very timely manner.

It's ok.

The quality of the shoes and handbags are not on par with those that come with a regular Barbie doll. The shoe display case is cute (and the chair that comes with the set is quite fasionable) but the center shelves are completely unusable -- they are at such a slant that any tiny movement will set the shoes tumbling down. We lay the case flat and put it in the drawer to store Barbie accessories - quite handy but definitely not as designed.

A girl never can have too many shoes

This is a fun and inexpensive playset complete with shoe measurer, cash register, Barbie-size chair, shoe boxes and display cases. The great thing is that it comes with extra purses and shoes that Barbie really can use. One flaw is common in the Barbie playsets: there is a "drawer" in the display cabinet that is fake. How nice if it actually would open to provide a little more storage. As with shoes, a girl never can have too much storage! BTW, you can seat Tangerine Twist (great orange lace-tie heels) in the purple chair, and pose the Ken Movie Date doll (redressed with a shirt and tie) as the shoe salesman because he can actually hold the shoeboxes.

Discontinued 1995 version

This is actually a rare discontinued version of this toy, from 1995. Its the Star Wars Power of the Force Electronic X-Wing Fighter in the red box, #69780, from the Rebel Alliance. The green box toys were the next release by Kenner in 1997.It had an electronic feature that had sounds from the movie, the laser firing sounds and pressing down on the R2 Droid triggered the X-Wing deployment sounds and opened the wings. The Kenner Star Wars action figures fit inside the cockpit just right, and the cockpit glass raises and lowers. You can release landing skids from the bottom for standing on a shelf. A terrific toy from the golden age of Star Wars toys. Looks great hanging from the ceiling in my office by the way.

I'm glad I got it. The droids are nice, but it was pretty hard for me to fold correctly. I wish their was more droids though. That would have been a cool edition. Still, someone could build a lego city and have the droids come in and destroy it! Hehe. I think it would have been better with more droids and even a Commander droid. These edition would have been very cool but im still glad I got this set

This is an amzing toy - specially for little girls who will or have just become big sisters!!! I have a 4 year old daughter and I am now 8 months pregnant. Do you expect me to hide my pregnancy from her to "protect her innocence"?? Yes,I am pregnant, yes she can see the baby moving inside, and yes - she is fascinated with it!!! It is such a beautiful and innocent thing for a child to see her mom pregnant!! Why not have a doll that "looks like mommy"?My being pregnant HAS NOT stolen my daughter's innocence! Neither will a pregnant Barbie steal your child's!!! My daughter does not know "how" the baby ended up in my tummy, and she is not interested either!! She is more interested in the fact there is a baby on the way!I think it is hypocritical and pathetic that people are "apalled" by this Barbie. If acknowledging there are pregnant women out there is so damaginng for a child, what do you suggest I do as to my own pregnancy? Lie to her and say the bump in my stomach is a watermellon?I hope Matel does not discontinue this doll.Please, go complain to Matel about the sexy Barbies out there! THOSE are a problem for little girls.

PS. By the way, she has a wedding ring on.

Why are so many people "shocked" at a pregnant doll whom is, by the way, MARRIED with a husband and older child. I have been an OB/GYN nurse for 23 years, and feel that this doll is an excellent example of a STABLE, happy family and a good role model/example for kids. It DOES NOT tell teenagers that it is ok to get pregnant when you are a unmarried, teenager. If this were the case the doll would not be called "happy family", it would be called "knocked up, unwed welfare teenage Mom". In my 23 years of nursing experience the young teen girls that end up pregnant are the ones who NEVER saw a pregnant womans belly and had very little knowledge of pregnancy. ALSO, I may add that before woman had regular access to modern medical pregnancy and birth care from doctors and hospitals, all babies were born at home and older children, especially farm children, were present during births of their siblings. Where babies came from was not a secret or "dirty" subject. And farm children also witnessed the births of many of the farm animals and I bet if someone where to do a study on these children, seeing and knowing about the process of pregnancy and birth did not increase unwed pregnancies and this group may even be in a much lower risk group for teen pregnancy is my guess. Excellent teaching toy when child is at apropriate age to understand the information. I would not give one to my 2 year old, but my 7, 8 or especially a 9 year old would only benefit from the doll. Happy to own Happy Family Midge

I am 28 years old and far too old to be playing with dolls - but that's another story! what's all the fuss about? My mom never liked Barbie herself, a perpetual ice blond with inhuman measurements even the runway models cannot compare to! Barbie doll has probably given a lot of girls a poor self image. I grew up surrounded by little mannequin blonds and never felt un-beautiful at 4'11", raven - haired, and 110 pounds. I still look like a kid, truly. But, Midge is very, very different. My one complaint: the husband and wife should be offered together in a giftset. And - I still handle her with care. I think she can be fragile if knocked about. Mattel gets a lot of money by forcing us adults to "chase" and "hunt" down hard-to-find items. I saw my first C-section birth at the age of 3 on Phil Donahue and knew exactly how I was born and where I came from. I am not married and wouldn't have children unless I were. I believe that the Happy Family is the only positive product line from Mattel's Barbie & Friends. A true freckled strawberry-blond, she breaks the mold with a gentle face. Her hairstyle is simple and irresistible to style. The baby is adorable and, well, not easy to dress, but cradles into Mommy's arms. Her pregnancy belly is huge and can be left on after "delivery" so little ones can get a sense of what very new mommies look like. Her maternity smock is pretty, though the high-heel mules are impossible for a pregnant woman - just ask my girlfriends! And some maternity slacks would have been lovely. Mom bought me the entire line including the nursery, grandparents, Alan & Ryan, and the new Neighborhood series. I substituted the little red - haired girl for Nikki since I can't imagine Midge and Alan having such a tow - headed little child! Ryan is adorable! We use Pool Party Liana as his fraternal twin sister with her red - blond pageboy. Seeing grandparents is a generational twist I have been waiting for since junior high. We also collected the ethnic line and the dolls are beautiful. Midge's maternity dress layette is fabulous if you can find it with a diaper bag and post - partum slacks and shirt. Overall, this is a teriffic married couple with married parents that support a nice family. Kelly and friends and Chrissy baby give little ones the options of "adding" siblings and this a very realistic view if you total accessories. A child can really envision pregnancy and infant care and it can open up a really good discussion.
