4Does the job.
By A Customer
I like this CD Player as it has great sound,'never skips'and it is very light and portable. It is also durable as it has been dropped from a height quite a few times and it still plays perfectly. The remote control is very useful and the headphones are comfortable. The only thing that I didn't like about it was how quickly it drains batterys, AA batterys last around 3 weeks. Not what I expected. I think that it is too expensive for what it is, there are better deals out there, so shop around.

5Impressive
By joe
This is a great cd player. not only is it thin and light weight but it is tough, i have dropped mine numerous times and it still works perfectly. the ability to use AA or AAA batteries is great and so is the amount of playing time u get from them. Another other great thing about it were the controls on the headphone wire.the bad things... it doesn't tell u when you're battery is getting low, only when it is dead and i ended up losing the extra part needed to play AAA batteries. other than that this cd player is well worth the money and will not dissapoint you.

2Not for the clumsy
By A Customer
This is an excellent CD player, that is until you drop it. It works really well, the antiskip blocks out any skip that may be caused, and the remote is really handy. One problem I found was that when you turned it on, it starts from the track which you were playing last, which gets a little annoying. I dropped it from about a one foot height, and it split in two. I would personally go for a more sturdy cd player next time I and going to buy.

Electric Motor Protects Hearing and Reduces Maintenance
The Lawn Hog features a 12 Amp motor, which produces plenty of power to cut and mulch even deep, wet grass. The electric motor produces lower noise and emissions levels and eliminates stopping and starting to refill gas tanks or clean dirty filters and spark plugs.

Built-In Adjustable Features to Match Your Lawn

A Comfortable Grip That Adapts to You
The specially cushioned grip reduces vibrations that can lead to fatigue while giving you added safety and control. And the handle can be adjusted to the perfect height for you, allowing you to stand upright with arms extended to mow comfortably.

Bag or Fertilize While You Mow
Keep your lawn tidy by gathering clippings in the included bag, which detaches easily for dumping or composting. Keep the bag off to mulch your lawn with the trimmings, providing a natural fertilizer.

Perfect for your small or medium sized lawn, the Lawn Hog will mow within a 100-foot radius of the nearest outlet. The compact size is easy to control for a precise cut, and the handle folds for easy storage when not in use.

5Lawn Hog - Aptly Named
By Za09
I purchased the Lawn Hog 12amp 19" from Amazon.com in April/2005. I have a large yard area. My front and back yards combined equal, at least, approximately 8,000sq. ft.Over the years, I have had numerous different gas mowers. My last gas mower was a Sears 6.5HP 22" Self-Propelled with a Briggs&Stratton engine.Pulling 15-20 times to start it (sometimes it took even more pulls) gets very tiring and frustrating! Don't they all claim a "3-push 1-Pull Start"? I decided to search online at Amazon.com for reviews of electric mowers. I hate having to mess with gas, oil, tune-ups, noise, shaking that made my hands numb during mowing (which I finally mitigated by wearing gel-padded cycling gloves). My grass is "tall fescue" - it grows very thick - I live in the high desert in the Antelope Valley, CA (elev. 2346 ft.). As you can probably guess, it gets quite hot here during mid-to-late summer (105-115+). Even when I start mowing early (9-11am) it is already near 100 degrees so, I searched for the most powerful electric mower I could find. I wanted to make sure my time spent under the sun would not exceed that of a gas powered unit of equal power. Just as other reviewers have stated it arrived in a big box on my front porch. Assembling the handle and attaching the bagger was a snap. It IS a two-prong input into the handle of the Lawn Hog - I already had that type of cord. I plugged it in, pulled up the orange handle up and WHAMO! It roared to power! In my opinion, this mower is comparable to a 6.5HP gas mower - others may disagree but I will tell you, this thing is POWERFUL. It cuts the grass with the cleanest cut out of any mower I have ever owned and does no damage to the lawn sprouts (as long as you do not set the height adjustment to scalp your lawn). The height adjustment is fingertip easy.TIP#1: To assure the bag fills evenlyWith the bag empty - cut for about 2-3 minutes, stop the mower, take off the bag, shake the accumulated contents to the rear of the bag and put the bag back on the Lawn Hog. Now you should be able to cut until the bagger reaches capacity and it will fill evenly.TIP#2 KEEPING THE CORD OUT OF THE CUTTING PATHSay, for instance, you want to mow your lawn up and down in an East-to-West pattern moving north as you mow. Uncoil your cord and accumulate it 5-10 feet away from you to the South - now, you will always be mowing and moving away from the cord location and, as long as you do not jerk a lot with your turns, the cord will not get in the way.You may also want to consider purchasing a few plastic/steel spikes and situate them at strategic points on your lawn perimeter. Place the cord appropriately behind the spikes - this will stop the cord from following you and getting in your path - it takes experimentation but eventually you will get to know the perfect points to place them allowing you to mow nearly as effortlessly as with a free reign mower.TIP#3 KEEPING THE UNDERCARRIAGE FREE OF DEBRIS BUILDUPIt is important to keep the undercarriage of the mower free and clear of debris, ESPECIALLY THE BLADE - a dull blade will make a dull cut and will start damaging your grass sprouts. This will cause browning and leave the lawn shoots exposed to disease, rot, insects etc. At lawncare.scotts.com website (by the way, a WEALTH of everyday practical information is located there about everything regarding lawn care, flowers, shrubs etc.) I came across a tip that suggested:COATING THE BOTTOM OF YOUR MOWER WITH A NON-STICK SPRAY - they suggested any Non-Stick Oven/Pan Food spray would do. I purchased a can of PAM spray. The next time I cut the lawn, I first cleaned the undercarriage as well as I could by scraping it with a 3-inch plastic paint scraper. I was careful not to push on the blade too much for fear of throwing it out of balance. I then turned the Lawn Hog upside down and leaned it up against my garage wall (can't do this with a gas mower, can ya?!) and sprayed the inside with a thin coating of PAM (including the blade). I set the Lawn Hog down, right side up, and waited about 5 minutes to allow the spray to adhere. (The undercarriage of the Lawn Hog, which houses the blade, is plastic so be careful if you use any metallic scraping tools - you can easily put gouge marks into the undercarriage causing even worse accumulation of dirt, grass, unbalancing the blade etc. making it harder to clean up). I then cut my entire lawn. When I was done, I propped the Lawn Hog up against my fence and was happy to find minimal grass/dirt accumulation. I got busy with my 3-inch plastic paint scraper and the scrapings came off with nominal effort. Even the residue on the blade came off easily. THIS REALLY WORKS and it is relatively inexpensive too!NOTE: SPRAY COAT THE BOTTOM BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE! It will make subsequent cleaning a breeze (I wish I had read about this tip before my first mow). The Lawn Hog is very light and easy to push. As the bag accumulates, it takes a tiny bit more effort to push, but for me, it is negligible.I used the Lawn Hog from April to June when I decided that a riding mower might prove better in reducing my physical exertion. I purchased a Sears 13.5HP Riding mower. All the headaches associated with gas, oil etc. started coming back to haunt me but I figured I owed it to myself to try. The first mow was a breeze. The next week I went out to start it and it was dead. I waited two weeks for replacement parts. After repairs, during which time I used the dependable Lawn Hog, the Riding mower ran fine but then, one of the front tires went flat and would not reseat itself properly. Another repair call, another delay. I noticed that no matter how I used the 6-position height adjustments the riding mower sometimes scalped areas of my grass and sometimes left other areas too long in length. I then attempted to change the riding mowers oil - WHAT A MISTAKE! The oil outlet valve did not protrude past the side edge of the riding mower and the oil spilled all over my garage floor and the mower housing itself. I decided, "THAT'S IT"! I returned it to Sears.I am now happily mowing my lawn with the Lawn Hog and I cannot even imagine, in my wildest dreams, ever going back to an environmentally insane, stinky, oily, noisy, shaking gas mower of any kind.By the way, the mulching function works fantastic and I now mulch much more than I bag, just remember to keep the blade clean.I AM VERY HAPPY AND PLEASED WITH THIS MOWER.I hope this has helped.

5great alternative to gas mowers. lot of plusses
By H. Sachan
We just moved from a condo to a house which has around 7000+ sqft lawn in the front and around 1500+ sqft lawn at the back. Being new to this I did a lot more research before buying a lawn mower. Our first dilemma was to decide between gas and electric. Few things which came up in the comparison, general to gas and electric mower, were:- gas is more powerful than electric. It might be true but this never is a problem even if you mow once in 3-4 weeks. We are quite happy with the power.- cord management: You get used to it once you plan the layout and how you'll mow the lawn. You always start from close to the outlet and go far away from it. This way cord always follows you and you don't run the risk of running it over. Although, you should still be watchful of it.- maintenance: Definitely less worries with electric mowers. no gas, no oils, no smell in the garage, no special handling when storing it away for the season, no servicing before the season starts- operation: easy to operate other than managing the cord, pull the lever and it starts, no need to pull the string etc. Some expensive gas mowers have switch to stop the blades but let the engine run when you are emptying the grass bag, but this one doesn't need anything like it.- environment friendly- less noisy as compared to gas ones- less cutting area. 18 or 19 inches instead of standard 22 inch with gas mowers.- warranty: lot of people mentioned that gas mowers have 4-5 years and electric one's have 2 years, but most of the mowers now, even gas ones, have only two years warranty. So, it was not an issues for us.- cordless? first of all, these are slightly heavier since you are carrying the battery also but the deal breaker was replacing the battery after 2 years.Going with these comparisons, we decided on the Electric Mower and started looking at different models. Black and Decker stood out with basically 3 models MM 575, 675 and 875. Most of the stores carry 575 and 875 and I could find lot of reviews for those two models. The main difference in 575 and 875 model is the coverage area. 575 is 18" while 875 is 19" so we ended up buying 875. Both are same amperage (12 AMPS) but the 875 comes with rear bag also. We like the mower and how its functioning.- Very easy to begin. It comes all assembled. The handle is flipped to the front, you just pull it back and tighten two levers and its ready to go.- A hook near the power plug on the handle so you don't accidentally pull the extension cord plug away.- It was very difficult to find the correct extension cord gauge for this since there are no guidelines, but after lot of researching here's what I've found. It's 12 AMPS and we run it on 120 VOLT so its 12x120 = 1440 watts max. So, if you running it max at 50 feet distance from the power outlet, its VERY safe to use 14 gauge extension cord (50 feet). If you are doing 100 feet distance from the outlet, then its advised to use 12 gauge (100feet) cable. Although, I'm using a 100 feet 14 gauge cable for 100 feet distance. I gather that it's not always running at full amperage so it's totally ok. And, its working good also.- Mulching: If you plan to mulch, you'll need to mow at least once in 7-10 days otherwise the grass just grows too big- Get used to a smaller cut area unlike 22 inch with gas mowers. you'll probably be making couple more extra runs based on how big is your lawn.- 8 settings for cutting. Not that you need such a fine control over the grass, but it feels good that you have options. It moves up and down from all wheels so its probably better than the ones which only move the rear wheels- lighter: I do notice some more flexibility while turning and u-turns.- rear grass bag: Lot of people complained that you need to empty the bag once its 1/3rd full otherwise it spills the grass. I think you can successfully use it till 2/3rd and then it starts dropping the grass on the sides and making a line. It doesn't bother me that much. One last thing, this was on sale at Ace Hardware since they are celebrating Northwest Natural yard care with county support and are selling it at $184.99. you can probably still find more details as yarddays.com.Overall, a great buy and we are very happy to decide on this.

4My lawn is happy now.....
By Kirk Bentzen
After years of using my Dad's gas powered lawn mower, I am finally a home owner myself and embarking onto the wonderful world of home and yard improvement. One of the items that I needed badly was a lawnmover and after looking at all the different types and models I settled upon this one. Overall, I am pleased with my new lawnmower as it did the thing it was supposed to do with relative ease at a very affordable price. It really is a pleasure to not have to hassle with gas or to worry about whether I charged the battery. Just plug it in and go. My yard is a sufficient size to not battle the cord the whole time so I found the cord battle to be minimized with some simple mowing-route planning. The things I enjoyed most about the mower were its ability to raze through the toughest areas (it had been a while since my yard had been mowed!) and the ease with which it starts and stops. What a pleasure to be able to take a break and get a glass of iced tea without feeling guilty about polluting Los Angeles with exhaust from a gas powered mower (they are such a pain to have to start up again). The other item I thought worked great was the nifty cord attachment section - the cord never came loose once while I mowed. The only problem I had with the mower (making it 4 stars) is the mulching tunnel to the rear bag is quite small. This is good for avoiding snipping a finger off, but a nuisance since the grass had a tendency to get lodged in there and block the path to the bag. Granted the grass was a mildly damp when I mowed. The rear bag is also very easy to take off, it just takes a bit of coordination to hold the mulching door up and snap the rear bag on. Not a problem if you are coordinated, but I could see someone being frustrated by this feature. Otherwise, I am very pleased with my new affordable mower. I recommend it for managing the rigors of smaller yards.

3It'll cut your grass just fine
By Andy Johnson
Before I bought my mm275 mower I was unsure whether I would want to put up with yet another electric mower. In particular, would it be able to hack through the thick grass better than our old tired mower? The answer is, yes, it does, even though it has the lower power 9 amp motor. It is quiet, it starts with no effort (well, mostly, more on this later) and it doesn't stink. And it cuts the grass at a pretty capable rate. I can walk at almost normal speed when the grass is 2-3 inches above the blade.

To use an electric mower you have to have electrical outlets that are not much more than 100 feet from every part of your lawn. You have to mow in dry grass only. And you have to not mind doing the cord dance, which doesn't bother me.

This mower has one problem, which is the switch. After half a summer of operation, the on-off switch on our mower is almost worn out. Pretty soon it isn't going to turn on anymore. This may be due to the "revving-up games" that my kids played before we became wise to the situation. Black and Decker have a replacement switch back-orderered for me, and I have reason to believe that with more judicious use of the switch (and a 12 gauge extension cord rather than 14 gauge) this next switch will probably last a lot longer. If it doesn't, you'll see a much less positive review here next year, and I'll be turning my mower off by unplugging the cord.

5A good deal.
By James. E. Paynter
I rate this as one of the best purchases I ever made. It cuts quite well and has never bogged down in any grass. My wife loves it because starting the mower is simply a matter of turning on the switch. Our neighbors look on the whole thing as kind of weird since it looks so odd and doesn't have the roar of a gas engine. We look at our neighbors and feel sorry for them as they billow smoke, noise and as they wrestle their gas monsters. We especially feel sorry for them when they have to shut down the mower, go do something else, and then yank their hearts out on the starting rope.

It takes a while to develop a technique for dealing with the extension cord but, once developed, it becomes second nature. It can't be used when the grass is wet. I have had it now for three years and have no complaints. The blade is quite easy to remove and sharpen. It mulches quite nicely and I have never attached the bag that came with it. When and if it wears out I will replace it with another similar type.

5Better than we expected
By Cheryl
This mower is fantastic! Compared to our old mower, it is very easy to push. It starts just by holding up a handle and is much quieter than a gas mower. It mulches the grass so well that you can't even see it on the grass, only on the walkway. We wish we had this mower years ago. I highly recommend this.

56 reasons to get this mower, and 2 reasons not to
By J. Seifert
I've had this mower since the previous Spring, and every time I'm out mowing, I'm thinking about the review that I planned to write here about it. So needless to say, I've thought a lot about this. Here are 6 reasons to get this lawnmower:1. It's cheap, about half the price that an equivalent gas mower would set you back. It's probably also a little bit cheaper to keep running, too.2. It's light. A lot of gas mowers are self-propelled because they're so heavy to push around, but at 36 pounds, this mower doesn't need to be self-propelled. You can move it back and forth with relative ease, much like a heavy vacuum cleaner.3. It's easy to start. No yanking the cord to get it going; just turn it on and start. Of course, you can get self-starting gas mowers these days as well, but they will set you back even more money.4. It's quiet. Well, okay, it's not THAT quiet. But it's quieter than most.5. It doesn't smell. The lawn doesn't smell like gas fumes after you're all done.6. It's better for the environment. Gas lawnmower engines expel 10 times the amount of pollution per gallon of gas than your automobile does.Sounds great so far, right? Well, before you click that "Add to Shopping Cart" button, let me give you two thoughts that might have you think otherwise:1. The cord. Yep, there's no battery here, so you're attached to your house's electricity the entire time. In practice, I haven't found this too difficult to deal with; by starting near the outlet and snaking back and forth away from it, it's easy to manage. But, when I have to mow around my trees, it gets to be a bit of a chore. If I had a lot of tricky landscaping, or a particularly large yard, this would be enough to kill the deal.(You can get electrical mowers with batteries, but they tend to be even more expensive than the gas mowers, and if you're choosing electric for environmental reasons, the lead in that battery is going to steer you even further away from that option.)2. The optional mulching bag is small. If I'm collecting my grass clippings, I'll often need to empty the bag 8-10 times during a typical run. It gets to be pretty annoying. As a result, I usually just let the clippings return to the lawn, which is better for the lawn anyway, even if it doesn't look as pretty. And there you have it. Six reasons to buy it, and two not to. You'll have to make your own decision. As for myself, I've been very happy with my purchase thus far, and will probably make my next mower a Black and Decker electric model as well.

4Look like an idiot, feel like a genius
By J. Tyler
Yes, you look like you're vacuuming your lawn with this thing. You also make about that much noise, by the way. Enjoy getting up at the crack of dawn, driving to the local gas station and filling up a gas can with fuel for your mower at $2.50+ a gallon? Of course you do, but you'll learn to adjust.Your neighbors might make fun of you because you and your wife mow the grass together now - one of you pushes and the other one wrangles the extension cord. They'll ridicule you endlessly for being able to have an actual conversation with her over the low drone of this plastic (gasp) mower. Wave at them and know you are simply a being of superior intelligence who has no time for their guffaws. Are you a total weakling, intimidated by the overwhelming task of lifting a lawnmower up a flight of steps or onto the bed of a truck (I know I am)? Fear not, for this electrical wonder weighs only slightly more than the extensive metal orthodontic gear you wore about your face and mouth until you were 16.Be smart. Be beautiful. Own an electric lawn mower.

5Single mom mows lawn with one hand!
By M. Cheung
Seriously, I recently purchased my first home with a kind of small front, side, and back lawn and I'm very happy with this mower. It was as easy as vacuuming! No kidding!

I purchased this mower because I really don't want the hassle of gas powered tools, the smell, the noise. The price was reasonable as well. My lawn isn't one nice big rectangle either. I have trees and other landscaping features to mow around. It was easy to maneuver and didn't get caught on anything.

Although the cord is not the most fun to deal with, I was able to push the mower with one hand and guide the cord with the other. It really wasn't bothersome at all.

Another great feature is the SO EASY on and off lever. It doubles as a good safety feature as well. If your hand isn't on the mower lever, it turns off. And to turn it on, there's no pull cord or anything like that. You just easily pull a lever!

The height adjustment is also a one hand lever that moves with ease. And it turns around easily as well.I highly recommend this mower!

4Wonderful value for the price
By A Customer
Hey, all I can say about this is it is GREAT value for the price. You can get other cd players for twice or three times the price but you won't get anything exceedingly better. This is quality at its finest. Granted I have only owned 3 cd players but this is by far the best. If you are looking for a mid range player that has everything you need including a remote then you have found the one. For a little...you are getting the best money can buy. This has 40 second shock protection and plays your homemade cd's. I was worried about this at first but my burned cd plays perfectly. All I can say is that if you are looking for a cd player for school, work, or just exercising this is it. Also, the only bad part I would say is the headphones. Well, they aren't "bad" but I added a new pair of Philips Hp170 full-size headphones and the sounds are MUCH improved. If you save the money on the cd player and buy this then pick up a new pair of headphones and you will have the best money can buy... Hope this helps!

5Very good for the price
By Justin
This is a great portable CD player. I jog with it probably 4-5 days out of the weekend, and its still holding up fine after a few months. It comes with a soft carrying case which can be tied around the waist. Only problem I found is that wearing the CD around the waist causes a lot of skipping even at a light jog. My solution was to use the straps on the carrying case to wrap lightly around my wrist and jog like that. I rarely ever hear a skip with it on my arm. Panasonic does sell a wrist attachment for this model off of their website. I wish it came with an AC adapter but that too can be bought off panasonic's site for about $... (or here for that matter when they are available). If this is your price range for a portable player, then get this one. Overall its great.

2Dissappointed
By A Customer
Purchased this new portable CD as a second player to my older Sony D307. Read many reviews that said Panasonic is now the player to own. Unlike Sony, it's still made in Japan (Not Malaysia). Brought it home and hooked it up to both my Grado SR125 and Koss Portapro Headphones. Sound quality did not compare to my older Sony (I mainly listen to these players for quality of sound, not bump resistance).

I returned it immediately. I got very concerned that I would be unable to find a player that matched the sonic quality (thru quality headphones)of my old Sony. I read many articles claiming that as the portable CD manufacturers designed their newer units to be more battery efficient and to increase the effectiveness of their anti-skip circuitry, sound quality suffered.

I took a chance and purchased the new Sony D-EJ621. This unit sounds excellent - better that my old Sony. Plays CD-R/W's. Comes with an AC adapter (285 does not) and has a line output to hook to a home stereo or boom box (285 does not have line out-I'm not hooking it through the headphone jack!). I moved the player around and could not get it to skip (with the G-protection on of course - The unit allows you to turn anti-skip off for longer battery life and most importantly-better sound quality -The Panasonic does not).

The Sony is the player to own for sound quality. If your going to listen to either of these players with their supplied headphones (bad sound)- it probably doesn't matter. Get a good set of headphones and realize the quality of sound available from a good portable. ...

4Awesome product - poor support
By Mr. Ned D. Ferguson
This is a great printer and delivers on HP's promises. It is very versatile for small office printing. In our office though, we have a particular need to print from Autocad. This printer will not print properly as a system printer from Autocad (at least not in Windows 2000). There is a problem with the HP driver. This was solved by configuring the printer to print from Autocad using an older driver for a Laserjet 5. I do get an annoying device conflict warning every time I print though. This was accomplished, I might add, with no help from HP whatsoever. Not that I didn't try. Their primary solution seems to be to throw a bunch of HP users together and let them help each other. No one had a solution for my particular problem. HP makes great products, it is a shame that their support is so substandard. Product quality 5, minus 1 for lack of support.

5Best Deal Ever
By Cal Bear
I purchased this machine to replace a dying 2200 I've had for almost a decade. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. If the description hadn't said "used," I'd swear this machine was brand new. It looks great, prints great, and arrived quickly and well-packaged. For just over $100, there isn't a modern laserjet printer with the quality construction and solid performance of the 2200. I just ordered a second printer from these guys to keep in my garage as a backup so I always have a working 2200!

5For the money....the best laser on the market!
By R. Shaff
I own a small accounting/consulting business...10 employees. Because each employee has such a large workload which is computer/printer-intensive, printer sharing is inefficient and ineffective. Therefore, I needed a high-quality, fast laser printer that would cost an arm and a let (inasmuch as I needed 10 printers!). When looking for a laser, I looked to the industry leader, Hewlett-Packard, if for no other reason than quality and simplicity. I started with the HP Laser II, moved to the Laser III, then the Laser IV and finally the Laser 4050...this, over a period of about 10 years. The move to the 4050 was the best move in terms of print quality and speed. As such, I purchased four. This was in 1999.

In 2001, enter the HP Laser 4100. When one of my Laser IIIs [stopped working], I bought a 4100 as a replacement. I set it up with my office manager as she seemed to have the greatest need. Over a period of two weeks, I found that she was generating reports and proposals in incredible time. I really thought she was getting help from another employee or had received some sort of divine assistance. However, after investigating further, I found that the printer (the 4100) was responsible for this NOTICABLE increase in output. After working with it for a short time myself, I purchased 4100s for everyone in the office. The 4100 is an workhorse for offices needing fast, large-capacity printers. I suspect that this printer would work in a sharing arrangement although I truly think it is at its best in a stand-alone environment.

The 4100 offers the user 1,200 dpi resolution, 16 MB RAM (expandable to 384 MB), and two high-capacity paper trays. As previously mentioned, the 4100 is networkable via JetDirect network cards. The 4100 delivers 25 ppm which keeps up with even the most efficient computer jockey or secretarial dervish. The paper trays, one with 100-sheet capacity and one with 500-sheet capacity, can be expanded up to an amazing 1,600 with available options. My personal printer is set up with two 500-sheet trays which supports my output very effectively. The 4100 is compatible with Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, and 2000 operating systems.

From a consumable standpoint, the toner cartridge supplies a reasonable level of output for the cost. I would like more but then, I don't know if I would ever be satisfied with the consumable cost!!

All-in-all, this is an outstanding laser printer... Frankly, for the quality, I would have paid more but I'm glad I didn't have to.

5Need For Speed!!!
By Mr. JKW
HP's LaserJet 4100 is perfect for a networked environment where a large volume of printing takes place. I use two of these for a computer lab and an office that I run and I have no complaints!!

SPEED

This baby is just unbelievably fast. It pumps out pages faster than any office copy machine I have ever dealt with at about 25 pages a minute. Prints jobs go in and they come right out just as quickly!!!

MANAGEABILITY

These printers were made to be networked and the printer management functions built into it are amazing. The printer is accessible via remote login or via secured web paged login (via IP address) and it tells you exactly how much toner is left in the cartridge, how many pages it has printed and when it should be serviced, etc. In other words, it is very easy to maintain.

THE VERDICT:

Overall, I cannot recommend any other printer if you are in an environment that requires multiple users print capabilities in a networked environment at a high-volume. Fast, reliable and easy to manage. What more can you ask for?

5Great Printer
By Russell E Smith
Just recently upgraded from another HP Laser. Print quality is great -- even in econo (toner saver) mode. Run it at highest quality for excellent and crisp output. Have not had any paper jams or other problems. LCD on printer is great...you can adjust all of the settings and even get info on the toner cartridge. Standard 500 sheet input tray reduces replacing paper all the time. From my past experience w/ HP lasers, toner cartridge life is good. Very versatile w/ the option to add network components, duplexer, extra RAM. Printer is not [inexpensive], but you get what you pay for.
