3Not Technics' Best Table...
By Armando M. Mesa
Operation of this turntable is smooth with regards to accurate pitch and speed adjustment and the auto-return tone arm mechanism is flawless.

However, the downfall of this Technics turntable is an annoying audible static -like intermittent noise heard on quiet passages of music. I made absolute sure the ground wire was well secured and I even tested this 'table on another stereo system and still the annoying noise was present. Apparently, it may be something inherent in between the belt-motor and the output wiring. I tested another Technics table of the same model number and, yup, you guessed it...that same noise is there. It could have something to do with a design flaw or something that is just inherent with a non-direct drive frequency generated turntable...On a consumer electronics web-site another owner/reviewer of the SL-BD22 had the same exact problem ! So, it could be very much a problematic theme with regards to the designing of the table motor mechanism.

After this experience, I upgraded to the Technics SL-1200M3D. WOW ! A major world of difference. It didn't come cheap but the quality and durability is something to behold and so what if it's not an automatic (one less thing to break down) !

The SL-BD22 is basically a no frills 'table and will play records nicely. BUT, if yours comes with a static or humming sound no matter how much adjusting you do, it's a possibility it could be that design flaw...

5Great Turntable From Technics
By Joey E
As an owner of two of these SL-BD22's, one of which I have had for over ten years, I can honestly say this turntable is one of the best moderately priced, belt-driven turntables out there. As turntable fans know, Technics is among the best out there today. I bought my first as an open-boxed buy at Sears ten years ago and have not had a problem with it since. There is nothing that feels cheap about this table, unlike other lower-priced brands. The tonearm is weighted at the factory, with the ideal tracking force of 1.25 grams. Keep that in mind when you go to buy a cartridge, as it does not come with one. I have not heard any buzzing or static, as stated by other reviewers. Just make sure you hook up the ground properly. The pitch adjustment is nice, but really not needed for home use. Don't expect to mix or scratch, as this is belt-driven. Just a side note: The second one I bought I found at a garage sale. The previous owner said that the speed was not accurate, as it was not steady. I determined it was the motor, ordered it from Panasonic's website, installed it, and it works like new.All in all, this is a great turntable and I would reccomend it to anyone who was looking for a good, home-use turntable.

4Technics SL-BD22 - reliable turntable
By R. Arrol
I recently acquired a Technics SL-BD22 turntable used. It replaced a mid-1970's Dual 1237 belt driven table that finally gave up and begged to be retired. Looking for an affordable replacement and being familiar with Technics reputation for fine quality turntables, I naturally turned to eBay.I'll be honest - I gambled on the SL-BD22 auction and couldn't be happier. I'd read a couple reviews in advance that detailed a "swishing" or static noise separate from the standard needle on vinyl sound. I haven't heard the sounds described. My unit plays perfectly and is silent during quiet musical passages or breaks between songs. One recommendation that may have helped is to upgrade the needle cartridge. Mine came with a low grade Audio Technica cartridge which was quickly switched out. This table is a gem. It's not fancy and does not have the bells and whistles that some may require in a turntable. Still, it seems to be a reliable component for a great value. I paid $66 in an online auction. I highly recommend it.

5Hurricane Rita Survivor!
By Reuben Gathright
I used this UPS as a backup power source during the Hurricane Rita. The unit actually powered my garage door opener! I was able to truck it around with no problems. I understand this is not what it was intended for, but if it can perform in the conditions powering an office computer is nothing for it.I still use it and I have encountered 8 trip events over the past three weeks with no interupption to my server. Stable!

TECHNICS SL-1200MK2 Manual Stereo Turntable Product Description:

  • Quartz direct-drive
  • Sliding pitch control with strobe
  • Detachable headshell
  • Accepts standard-mount cartridges
  • Designed for professional and DJ applications

Product Description

A die-cast aluminum body, heavy rubber base, and a lack of unnecessary components or empty space allow the 1200MK2 to absorb unwanted vibrations that could otherwise interfere with the sound. The 1200MK2's ultra-low-speed motor and high torque (1.5kg/cm) allow for super quick start-ups (0.7 sec) and stops. Allows for accurate quartz-locked pitch adjustments throughout its 16 percent (+/-8) range. Instead of just spinning the platter, the classic Technics Direct-Drive system actually incorporates it into the motor, reducing the number of parts that can malfunction and making consistent, accurate speeds possible. It's a system that has been providing fast start-up times and unequalled responsiveness for over thirty years. Wow & flutter 0.01% WRMS, rumble -78dB.

5The Ultimate Turntable
By W. H. Jamison, Jr.
Occasionally a piece of equipment comes along that is so well designed, well built and far ahead of the pack that it defines the state of the art and any major improvements are not only unnecessary but impossible. 30 some odd years ago Technics released the first SL1200 direct drive turntables and defined what phono turntables should be; affordable, reliable, excellent. In the 30 years since then there have only been minor revisions to the SL1200.If you're like me and you have a vinyl fetish the 1200 MK2 is the turntable to buy, the extra heavy duty construction that made this deck so popular with DJs at clubs serves audiophiles just as well at home. The 1200MK2 is impossibly smooth; turn it on and watch as the platter gets up to speed in a single rotation, the platter speed is incredibly accurate, again, this sets the standard. Combined with a properly installed cartridge (I use a Shure Type 15 VMR) this turntable will give you years of pleasure from your record collection

5Technics SL-1200MK2 Beats Them All
By Know What I Mean? Nudge Nudge
Hello Everyone,There is a reason this turntable has sold thousands (millions?). The Technics is simply the best turntable you can get period for a grand or under. Yes it became popular as a DJ table, but it was originally designed as a professional level audiophile home turntable. You need only to spend a few hours with the 1200 to realize this. This is what I've been using it for and it has blown my socks off. I've been very impressed not only with its unparralled build quality, but especially with it's great sound quality as well as its perfectly accurate speed and pitch control. This turntable is a legend for a reason. I've been an audiophile for 34 years, and I can tell you confidently that this is a superb turntable for home audiophile use. You can spend more money on more expensive "boutique turntables", but you're wasting your money unless you spend three to four times as much. Keep the coin and get some great LPs instead. The Audio Technica 1200 is a good turntable (speaking from several months of ownership) but the Technics blows it out of the water on all fronts. The AT is mostly plastic and very loosely assembled and poorly manufactured in China. Mine started having issues after the first week. The Technics is still hand assembled in Japan, as it has been for the last thirty odd years, and is made of high grade METAL parts. This turntable will probably outlive me!!! I highly recommend this turntable, and I'm a jaded audiophile. They just don't build them like this anymore. Cheers to Technics for continuing to manufacture this turntable in Japan, to the highest quality standards and built from the highest quality components. This will be the last turntable I'll ever have to buy.

5The best, regardless of price
By Jay L. Rudko
I am a vinyl junkie. There; I've said it. And for years I was in search of the perfect turntable on which to indulge my passion. This turntable is analog nirvana. Clearly, this turntable was intended for both the professional and home markets. The direct drive motor keeps the platter precisely on speed thanks to the quartz-locked control, or varied with the pitch control slider. A green light lets you know when you're locked right on speed. In addition, the strobe on the outer rim of the platter helps you gauge where you are when you adjust the pitch. The S-shaped tonearm offers adjustments for tracking force, anti-skate, AND vertical tracking angle. The importance of VTA is often downplayed, but I can tell you it matters! When it's right, you'll know. I have no fewer than 16 cartridges on headshells that can be used on this turntable, and all sound excellent. But my strongest recommendation for the best cartridge to use with the 1200for home use is the Denon DL-160 high output moving coil.My records have never sounded better, and this cartridge, like the turntable, is a bargain. I've been using this combination for transferring some of my favorite LP's to CD so I can play them in my car. In many cases, the sound was so good it was hard to tell this was an analog transfer. This is definitely the finest turntable ever built, regardless of price. Even the snooty high end audiophiles should take a good look at this table if they want great sound at a bare-bones price (compared to most high end turntables that don't do anything this one does). There's something to be said as to why this turntable has been available for so long. I've had mine for nearly 20 years, and I'll never let go!

3Fills a market niche for an affordable, user-friendly tuner
By Michael B. Marshall
Per comments in the other review on this tuner, no, the tuner market hasn't disappeared, it's just fragmemented. The trend towards home theater has really hit the stereo component market, pretty much killing the low and middle end sections of it (the high end audio market is still going strong, with plenty of tuners in the $500+ range available). That's what makes the Teac TR-670 interesting. A low cost component aimed at the universe of music lovers who (a) don't own $5,000 level systems but (b) have a reasonably decent component stereo system and view it primarly as a music, not theater audio source. The good news beyond price?Selectivity (the ability of a tuner to pick up a specific station without other nearby channels crowding into it) is darn good for a "cheap" tuner, and that's given the acid test I gave this in a suburb of New York where the FM band is crammed.Overload rejection and image rejection were also good, another important consideration for a listener like me who lives close to some stations' transmitters (poorly designed tuners run into problems with these stations, with the latter crowding out all the other nearby signals).Sensitivity (the ability of a tuner to pick up distant, weaker signals) is also surprisingly good; I was happily surprised to actually capture strong signals from some stations in Stamford, CT (a good 100 miles away) that I'd previously never heard!Like the previous reviewer, I also appreciated all the programming and utility features of this tuner, which are numerous.First, the tuner allows the use to pre-set 60 stations (30 in both the AM and FM bands), and is also capable of doing auto pre-set tuning, where the tuner scans either the entire AM or FM band, automatically adding the strongest 30 stations on each to the pre-set memory. It also comes with a remote, which really changes the nature of listening (think about how the addition of the TV remote changed the way we all watch TV, and you'll understand what I mean). Both the tuner itself and the remote allow you to tune a number of ways, including "direct access" (where you punch in the numbers for the station you want, ergo "103.9"), or scanning through the pre-sets, or general scanning. And for those who want to literally curl up on the sofa and fall asleep (or wake up) to the sound of music, the built in clock on the tuner even has timer and sleep functions. Now, anyones' experience with a particular tuner depends, to a large extent, on the reception conditions in their particular area, as well as their antenna setup (I use an outdoor, three-element FM rooftop antenna, the signals it captures are sent to the tuner through a 75 ohm coaxial cable. Yeah, putting it up was somewhat involved, but for those who really want the best possible signal for an FM radio, this is the way to go).Or stated another way, the best audio equipment on earth isn't going to get you good FM stereo if you live in the middle of nowhere, hundreds of miles from strong signals (those in that sort of situation really need to look into satellite radio). But for those in urban/suburban and even ex-urban areas, who have component systems and are looking to add or update a tuner, this is a small investment in happiness - for the fun involved in hearing all the new or forgotten music that's still on the airwaves. One other note: the TEAC cassette deck I purchased back in 1984 is still going strong (yep, I pull out old tapes now and then, the cassette format isn't dead yet), so I have the sense this company builds equipment that stands up. Not that wear and tear is an issue here; outside a few switches, a tuner like this has no moving parts (the things that inevitably wear out), but still, my prior positive experience with TEAC is a significant part of the reason I purchased this tuner.

4What a first class tuner..first class company
By tech head 432
First about TEAC...the company. Can you belive that there are actual people at TEAC who....hold your breath...actually pick up the phone and talk to customers? What a concept! Seriously, my first experience with TEAC was great. I had a tech question about the r670 tuner before buying it and was able to reach "Jimmy" from their consumer audio group who was very helpful and knew exactly what I was talking about with respect to my specific tech question (re: RDS function on this tuner). It's rare these days to deal with a company who doesnt seemingly outsource customer service straight away. Such a pleasure to deal with! Now for the tuner itself. While I am new to component tuners, I stillappreciate good gear being an Adcom system owner for years. Sure, it's not super hi-fi, but it's still worlds above the basic junk out there. Only a few consumer level companies make higher level components these days (Pioneer Elite, Onkyo Integra, etc.) and TEAC seems to be on par with these players. Once again, they're not Krells or Mark Levinson's but still pretty good. First, right out the box, the tuner felt substantial. Solid face plate, simple design, nice buttons etc.,. The packing makes it suspended in the box away from all sides so there's little chance for anything to dent/damage the chassis during shipping. Of course, hooking up a tuner is very easy...antenna tuning/placement aside. I got it up and running and while I was skeptical that "a tuner is a tuner", this thing was impressive. Sure, radio technology is quite mature but most people are used to car radio, handheld radio or radios integrated into their receivers. What a difference a dedicated component makes. It's not CD/SACD/Vinyl audio quality but what can you expect. For radio, it's darn good. Also, the manual that comes with it is...hold your breath again...printed on nice glossy, card-stock 8.5 x 11 paper written in perfect english. No flimsy untra-thin copier paper here. The instructions are clear and there are supporting pictures for setting the clock, timers, presets etc.Unlike the Denon TU1500 that I was considering, this TEAC comes with a remote. The Denon does not come with one...how strange. Also, the Denon looks/feels like a $79, plastic component. While it may be technically superior (just a guess based on price) I wouldnt go near it for what it costs (look it up..it ain't cheap). The only thing missing from the TEAC r670 (IMHO), is a singal strength meter. That would be a nice addition. Oh, and perhaps to have the technical manual available in PDF on their website. Aside from that, this unit is top class and sits well in a system full of dedicated components (amp, DAC, CD transport etc.)It's so nice to take a break from CDs and Vinyl and listen to hassle-free music.

4Good tuner, decent price
By Brett Buck
My old tuner recently gave up the ghost, so I got the Teac R670. Can't argue with the price, and it works pretty well. AM and FM reception are both pretty decent, although FM is not nearly as good as my Tivoli Model Two radio. AM is much better than the Tivoli. All the modern conveniences are here - digital tuning, auto presets, etc. These all function, although the "seek" tuning is kind of irritating. I'd be fine with a good, old-fashioned knob. Hooking it up is simple as could be - one line output, and some antenna connectors. It comes with an AM loop antenna and a typical 300-ohm "T" antenna and a convertor to 75-ohm coax. This seems to me more than adequate if it's in a good spot. Near as I can tell, the tuner sounds fine. There's really not much chance that the limitiation in the system is the equipment - FM radio transmission is a weak point, and as long as you can accurately tune the station, it's probably going to sound the same no matter what tuner you get. For AM, of course, there's nothing to say, fidelity-wise. There's a reason they only play oldies and conservative talk. The unit looks very nice with blackened brushed aluminum faceplate, and an electroluminescent display. The one thing that really surprised me was the *size*. This thing, while standard width, is HUGE. It's a good 3" high. Given that more features get stuffed into car radios, I simply can't fathom the need for the super-giant box. My dad's Heathkit was smaller, and at least they had an excuse - because 12ax7 tubes were 2" tall! I fit it in my rack OK, but I was taken aback by the size, as the tuner it replaced was about 1" high. i guess the idea of a separate component tuner has become a little passe' (when I went to Circuit City they had NO IDEA what I was talking about "no, not a receiver, a TUNER. And yes, I know you can get a tuner AND amplifier in the same box"), but that's what I needed, and it works. For $117 it's pretty hard to argue with.

1Form tear-off is a problem on newer printers
By John K. Hayes
The Okidata 320 Turbo works great except for the form tear-off. However, the main use for this printer is printing invoices. Without the form tear-off option, the printer is worthless for printing invoices. The form tear-off seems to have started failing at a high rate within the last couple of years. It usually lasts long enough so that the printer is out of warranty. Calling Okidata support and getting a straight answer about what is wrong is a exercise in futility. They assume that you can't figure out how to set it up. Your options are quite simple. Spend the money for a new 320 or buy an Epson.

By Tyler J. Hoyt
I've bought 6 of these units now. They get consistent heavy use and hold up fairly well considering. Will continue to buy them. They last me about 3 years before they die. This isn't bad for the abuse we put them through. The setup programming is a real chore and I have to re-learn the process every time I set up a new one.

4tapes are a good buy
By E.J.
The tapes arrived in good quality and has shown better color over repeated recordings. This is a better option of videotapes over Maxell and Sony, which wear down over tapes, eats up tape in the VHS player over time. The anti-jam mechanism is important which is why I have bought this brand exclusively over the years.

5Great Tablet!!
By A Customer
I love this tablet though it does take some time getting used to it. But then so does a mouse if you are using it for the first time. And of course you tend to look at the tablet when drawing when you are supposed to look at the screen. This tablet is a great help in my web design work ... it is also just plain fun ... its like having a blank canvas in front of you and you can do whatever you like, without the mess, of course.

5the music biz 100 recorder
By A Customer
I had recently purchased a Mini disc recorder from the guitar center. It's advertised as a songwriters dream. In a box you get the md recorder, mic, headphones etc. I thought to my self, all these damn cords all the time! with todays technology and demand why hasn't anybody developed a md recorder with built in stereo microphones (along with an optional mic jack), built in speaker (along with an optonal headphone jack)And a variable pitch control (very important). Well, I did some deep research and found that the only way to find such a product was to take a look at sony's line of md recorders and see if there on the ball. Sure enough to my amazement I found the Mz B-100 a buisiness recorder with all the features I'd desired plus more. Except, it's advertised only as a journalists tool. This little bad boy is a songwriters dream for It's quick inspiration and exceptional surround sound quality (if you want). Mono or stereo and two more mega bass boost settings are available. It has a high/low mic sensitivity button. The stereo mics are labeled left and right on each side of the recorder and are by no means a toy, they sound fantastic and I haven't even tried it with an external stereo mic yet,I could only imagine. And the speaker works well enough to monitor your meanderings in quieter setting(not in crowds). You can also monitor while your recording to get the best mic placement with the supplied earphones that are great. Or even better yet, try monitoring at home with a set of professional studio headphones...incredible! It also has an input for an optical cable if you desire to hook it up to a cd player or multitrack recorder. And it has a power supply jack, contrary to the advertised specs. Also You can label each track or pass. And The recording time and battery life are great. It's just an awesome little heavyweight! (can you tell I'm impressed?) Now a few little NEGS and believe me there just a few little ones. The carrying case is rather useless. The only thing it might do is protect the finish, that's it! Besides that, I've seen better carrying pouches that come with more inexpensive ones, I think in considering it's application, a padded case would have been more deserving... besides, I always accidentally hit record when I grab the carrying pouch (not good). And Considering the price of the machine, A display screen that lights up is invaluable to the journalist. Definetely an overseen feature available on lesser md recorders. Another problem is a few of the buttons are rather tiny. I have a very small hand and even I find it difficult to press some of the buttons such as erase, edit/memo, display, etc. Apart from that, It's a powerhouse of a tool. Still amazed that Sony isn't pitching it to the music retailers.

5Perfect for journalists
By A Customer
...As a journalist of 25 years experience, I have tried just about every cassette/microcassette/solid-state handheld field recorder out there. Too well do I know the hearbreak of getting back from a day of great interviews to find nothing but a hiss, or hum, or worst of all, a mumble that you cannot quite make out. This recorder solves all of those problems. It is very easy to see that it is recording -- a red light flashes -- which is reassuring while the interview is in progress. It can record for five hours, more than enough for the average reporting day. The media is removable, which means you can tuck the minidisc in a folder and transcribe it later (not possible with the new batch of solid-state microchip recorders). Battery life is fabulous, advertised at 45 hours and I believe it, the battery never seems to give up. It has a nice variable-speed playback feature, so you can run it at 80 percent speed and thus keep up while transcribing. Only minor quibble is that the review feature has a delay...if you want to back up a few seconds to catch a missed word, you have to wait about five seconds for the backing up to begin. Anyway, this thing is not cheap, but if it salvages one interview that would otherwise be lost, it will be more than worth it to the working journalist. I use it for print, but I understand that minidisc is becoming the media of choice for in-the-field radio reporters. I believe it: the sound that comes out of this thing is just plain perfect.

3Flawed, but leader in the market
By Daniel A. Robinson
I'm a professional broadcaster, having used MD since the early 1990's, and our organization uses these for newsgathering. The main flaws of the MZ-B100 as noted elsewhere are lack of lighted LCD, and extremely slow RR/FF and other actions, due to the single AA power supply and other issues. But another drawback is that, after extensive use, and with some units this develops earlier, it starts adding phantom tracks without pressing the track button. This is bothersome when you're trying to keep a record of what is where. I hope SONY comes out with an upgrade, but doubt they will, because they already have the slightly cheaper MZ-B10 and other digital recorder options.

5The Ultimate CD-burner
By A Customer
The Ultimate CD-burner on the market. Plextor makes flawless burners! this is one of the fastest available so far. I have burned over 50 cd's and not one ruined! Burnproof technology does work and this drive has it. Burn an 80 min 12x CDR in just under 6 1/2 minutes! Easy to install, less than 5 minutes. All major cd software packages out there support it. There is nothing bad about this drive!

5Fast and Wonderful !
By J. Robinson
Outstanding performance from this cd-burner. A great new feature is "Burn-Proof" -- which virtually eliminates ruining CD's because of buffer underruns when writing at high speeds. This means you can continue using your PC for other tasks while the writer is creating your CD. It also takes the risk out of copying from a slow CD-reader that ordinarily couldn't keep up with this speedy new drive. This is especially great for novices who tend to waste lots of blank CD's while trying to find the best combination of settings for burning new CD's.

I now use my drive mostly for creating data cd's - - storing my digital camera photos that take up so much room on my hard drive. And for peace of mind, I make a duplicate copy just in case one of the CD's gets damaged somehow. And with blank cd's costing around 35 cents (and getting cheaper), this is a cheap reliable backup... especially when you consider the alternatives.

This drive plays music cd's well, and can extract songs from them easily. I have a 6-disk cd-changer in my car. Now I don't have to carry around so many cd's or switch them so often because I can create my own custom CD's that contain only the tracks I want to hear. This Plextor makes it so QUICK AND EASY to do. And I hear no quality difference whatsoever between the custom-created CD's and the original. I safely store my originals at home and don't risk driving them around the country anymore.

The speed for writing to re-writable disks is 10x. That is the fastest I have seen. I use re-writables to backup frequently-used files that change (microsoft money data files, address book, software projects, email, etc.).

I use my drive with Adaptec EZCD 4, and my operating system is Windows 2000. I certainly get lots of use from this reliable top-performing drive. And packet-writing is supported.

5The BEST EIDE CD-RW on the market today. PERIOD.
By aaron wittenberg
I received my Plextor Plexwriter in early December 2000. To be honest, I hate EIDE burners. I have used SCSI before and the performance was better. So why would I buy an EIDE CD-RW drive? One person that I have spoken with and is extremely knowledgeable about burners has a Plextor (not this model though). He didn't have one bad thing to say about it. I heard of Plextor about 6 years ago, and decided to look into this. I read about 5 reviews of the Plexwriter, and all were good.

The single detail that sold me was BURN-Proof. What this does is when the 2 MB buffer runs out during the burn cycle, the drive stops burning, and remembers where it left off. Once the host drive picks up again, the drive starts where it left off, and continues burning. I only know of 2 drives that include BURN-Proof. The high end ZipCD, and the Plexwriter, although this drive has better reviews.

The last CD I burned had over 500 MB of movies on it. While I was burning at 4X (though I could have done 8X just as well), I was downloading full board on my cable modem, I was copying about 2 GB of movies across drives, looking over web sites, and had ICQ going.

Let me repeat that: burning a CD at 4X (a generic CD at that), downloading at over 100K/sec, copying 2 GB of files across drives, using the web, and talking in ICQ. So how did the CD come out? Flawless. I wasn't even trying to go easy on it.

My system is a Pentium II 450 with 256 MB of RAM. Nothing spectacular. So how slow was it during the burning? I didn't even notice the burn going on.

The downside? The drive is expensive..... BUT I have peace of mind knowing that I can go hardcore on burning and do whatever I want with my system and burn flawless CDs. So far I have only burned a few, but they were all perfect. And these aren't expensive CDs either.

A friend of mine bought a cheap... burner and won't use anything but ICQ while burning. I FULLY use my machine while burning CDs. The Plexwriter doesn't even care.

Simply put, THE BEST drive I have ever used, and the drive is very quiet too. Much quieter than my old Memorex 40X CD-ROM.

You decide. I'm sold on Plexwriter 12/10/32A. Keep in mind that the 8/4/32A does NOT have BURN-Proof.

5Sony DVP-NS415S ~ Great Connectivity Solution
By A Customer
Greetings,

Here is a quick positive review on Sony's DVP-NS415S. I've owned this player for a month and I also have a DVP-NS315 setup now for over 3 months.

1. CONNECTIVITY SOLUTION. This player has a particularly nice option that I haven't seen on other entry level players: passive A/V inputs. This is the main reason why I purchased this dvp. I use it on a small 20" sony bedroom tv that only has 1 set of inputs. This allows me to daisy-chain my VCR and DSS.

2. GREAT FUNCTIONALITY. I find this player to have that Sony level of congruity that I enjoy. MP3s have a nice menu and are easy to play, you have multiple choices for DVD video quality, and it can play a well-worn DVD without a problem.

The only cavaet I should tell you is that this is an 'entry-level' player only... meaning that you will not have a very robust suite of digital input/output options nor Progressive Scan capability as with another higher-priced unit.

I recommend this entry-level player for TV's with only 1 set of inputs.
