5paint this
By dcarder
I bought this unit reconditioned for...including shipping. When it came in it looked brand new with a new hose and gun; I think someone bought it used it once and then returned it.Putting it together was pretty easy just the handle, pail hanger, gun and hose and the suction and return tubes. It took longer to find the correct wrench than it did to put it together. The instructions in the manual are a little difficult to understand for someone new like me that hates painting, but after 2 or 3 times I finally got it. Priming the unit is easy just put the bucket under the intake tube turn the dial to prime and turn it on till you see paint running back into the bucket from the return tube. Then flip the dial to spray and you are ready to go. There is a pressure dial down on the side if you are spraying Latex run it up to maximum and you are ready to let fly. Make sure you have a big hat goggles and a mask because the worst part of this process especially in a small room is the "FOG" I used a garbage bag (extra large) cut a hole in the top and some arm holes; cheap easy and disposable and fired it up. It took me a little bit of time to get used to spraying and how it would work but once I did, it was the about as fast as I could move, I painted a 220 sq ft room with 2 closets all with 8 foot ceilings and also 2 ceilings in an ajoining bathroom in a matter of minutes. This thing can lay down some serious work very very quickly and the coverage was much better than a roller or brush just have someone watch you and if you do miss a little spot just have them point. You will need lots of light we painted at night and it was hard to see. I would guess you could paint a garage wall 20x8 in under a minute. It took longer to use 1 gallon cans (stirring and repriming) so I would recommend 5 gallon buckets if possible. Cleanup is pretty easy put the intake tube in a bucket of clean water and the return tube back in the paint can and set it to prime and turn it on just for a little while until the paint starts to turn clear maybe 10 seconds or so total then put the return tube back in the water bucket with clean water reprime it. Take the tip off of the gun and throw it in a bowl of water set it to spray put the gun at the edge of the paint can/bucket and turn it on to spray the paint back in the bucket until it starts to get clear then put the gun in a big sink and pump some water through the hose for a few minutes. Then pull the filter out of the gun and brush it, I used an old tooth brush clean it up. Then clean up the dust and any spills and reassemble and you are done. Oh yeah also pull the intake tube off and plug it with the attached plug after cleaning. Also put a few drops of the separating oil in the top oil hole not too much or it will leak all over the place. Overall if you have some painting to do this unit will do it; don't waste your money on the small little hand held units I did that a few years ago and it was a waste of...bucks. There are also accesories for this unit, for an 8 foot ceiling just stick your hand up and keep it moving if you have a tall ceiling look into the 6 foot extension.

5top notch sprayer
By arthur borin
I recently purchased a Wagner 9150 sprayer from Toolcrib. When it arrived I put it to work the next day. I was able to stain a 1500 sq ft deck with 2 coats in 2 days. Three years ago I had the same deck stained by a painter and the cost was $400 dollars for labor alone. The first job I did payed for the sprayer. It is easy to adjust and use and cleanup is a breeze.

5Excellent unit for homeowner
By handy hubby
I bought mine factory reconditioned from GleemPaint.com for a VERY good price and received the unit in 2 days. My previous sprayer was a Wagner Power Pro (hand buzzer) and the 9150 is way, WAY superior. Since it's advertised as an entry level "contractor grade" sprayer, I expect it to last a fairly long time since it will only get occasional use plus most "wearable parts" are replacable. The tip size helps control the paint flow and spray pattern, so you may need more than one tip for handling different jobs. I'm VERY satisfied with both the unit and GleemPaint.

3Flaws in this tool
By Joseph A. Robichaud
I use this tool mainly for making brick moulding profiles. As recieved I found the screw that holds the dies in place keep falling out or would screw itself so tight it would jam the dies. I had to install a flat washer to act as a thrust bearing and apply Loc-Tite blue to the screw. The way the case is moulded requires you to have to spend time screwing the dies in or out to get it into position to use it each time. And time is money.

4Right Combination
By RWnyc
I am a professional photographer working in New York City for over 30 years. I'm into optics. My preferred cameras are Leica M Range finders with Leitz lenses. After doing research and then testing these binoculars at a camera store I decided to purchase these Olympus 10 x 42 EXPS I binoculars. This is the third set I have ordered. I give them as gifts to friends who have great views from their homes. They are very "bright" and hence are also good for looking at the night time sky & stars. The reason I did not give them five stars is that Leica binoculars are better; but they also cost $ 1,800.00 and up. I tested various other brands at all price points. For value vs. quality I believe these are among the best.

5A excellent binocular with low price
By Jellyfish
I'm surprised about the outstanding performance of this binocular. If you can hold it without vibration, you can easily read a newspaper about five meters away. Before I have this, I spent double price on a Nikon one but that is no match for this. I strongly recommend this binocular!

5Excellent
By Thomas Speranza
I have had this printer for quite a while now. It prints unbelievable pictures that compare to the Kodak photo lab. After I am done taking my shots with my Olympus C-3030zoom camera I insert the smartmedia card directly into the printer, then I plug the printers video output into my television. This printer has some really neat editing features that can be used without your computer. Of course it works really well with my computer. All around it is a really excellent product. I have been impressing my neighbors, and family with this printer. I am getting ready to sell off my regular film eqipment. I just aquired an Olympus P400 digital printer, and all I can say is OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY.................................

4Super photo quality but not very flexible...
By bensmomma
My friends are always commenting on the quality of the photos printed out on our Olympus photo printer. They really look like they came back from the photo shop. They are cosmically better than what you can get from your old inkjet, even if you print inkjet pictures on nice paper.

What's more, since you have an opportunity to photo-edit the pictures before you print, you can correct problems that the photo shop will never bother with: remove red eye, reframe, add labels, etc.

My biggest problem is the limited size of the paper. It will print out a photo at a maximum size of about 3.5 by 5. OK for a snapshot but not good enough for anything you'd want to set on your desk at the office. Also the paper is pretty expensive and relatively hard to find. Remember too that they are not as permanent as regular photos-don't set them down near something wet for example, and make sure you let them dry off a bit before you stack them together.

So if you don't need big pictures, you might find this a fine alternative. The photo quality is really excellent.

4Excellent camcorder from Sony, but not a home run
By Mary Jo Sminkey
I recently decided to get this camera and sell off my TRV900 because I really found I needed something smaller to carry around. It was a tough choice, as the image quality and stills from the TRV900 were decidedly better. But I just couldn't pass up the size. This one is so small for the features you get. It has many, many well thought out features. For instance, it has a little swing-down handle to make filming easier (always an issue with these little digicams). You can hook the camera directly to your computer through USB, no need to get a card reader. Pop-up flash is nice for doing indoor shots. Easy to use menus. Fairly high resolution stills for a digital camcorder. I love the Sony batteries that tell you how much time you have left...same for the tapes and memory cards. Plenty of features that a camera at this level should have.

Now, for the negatives. No progressive scan. Let me say that again. NO PROGRESSIVE SCAN!! Heaven knows why Sony continues to leave this feature off. It was so noticeable between this camera and the TRV900 which does have progressive scan, when you capture stills off of video. The ones from this camera are nowhere near as good. Not even close. If the subject is moving at all (which is usually the whole point of trying to capture a still from video), without progressive scan it is just not as clear, sharp, colorful, etc. Why Sony does not put progressive scan on their cameras is beyond me. Most of the other gripes I have with this camera are fairly minimal. Some of the buttons are fairly hard to locate, the zoom is hard to use and rather touchy, the photo button is right next to it so I often hit the wrong one, etc. Fairly typical problems for a camera of this size. Were it not for progressive scan being missing though, this would definitely be a 5-star camcorder. Without it, sorry Sony. You blew it again.

5Best Personal Camcorder/Digital Camera on the Market
By A Customer
If you are considering buying the Sony DC-PC110 Camcorder, you should ask yourself, "What am I looking for in a camcorder?". I spent a long time debating between buying this camera, the Sony PC9, and the Canon Elura 2 (all great camcorders). My final conclusion is that the PC110 is the best all around... but if you don't need to extras, you needn't spend all the extra money. The PC110 functions perfectly as a camcorder for movies AND as a quality digital camera, something that other camcorders can't boast. It also includes in-camera editing and special effects controls, image-stabilization (hands naturally shake, and this makes movies more smooth), night-shot (for recording in total darkness), and intuitive ergonomics (contrary to what other reviewers have said, the pinky doesn't belong on the controls, the index finger does...), and the camera is very easy to operate (once you get the hang of it). The 120X Zoom is very good (even at extreme closeness, the quality of the image does not suffer). Hooking it up to your computer for editing is easy (cables & free software are included).

As a digital camera, it's perfect. You can take pictures ("stills") while recording by pressing the "photo" button while in recording ("camera") mode, or you can take a series of pictures & delete the ones you don't want in digital memory ("memory") mode. You can play back your movies on your camorder (or hooked up to your TV) while in "VCR" mode. The camera charges quickly while off & plugged into an AC adapter, but the battery that it comes with only lasts around an hour, so you'd probably want to buy a bigger one for vacations.

The bottom line is, if you don't want to use your camera as an all-purpose two-in-one, you needn't spend the extra money (if you buy the camera as-is, you will need to buy an extra battery, a filter, a bag, digital tapes to record movies, and a 64MB memory stick for digital photos, which adds up to quite a lot of money). However, I recommend this camera as a long-term investment for all your camera needs... it is sturdy, takes quality movies, is easy to use, easily hooks up to PCs & Macs to edit (or to TVs to view), and doubles as a great digital camera. It also helps that it's very small and light (and looks very sleek...) If you don't want to use it as a digital camera, I'd recommend the Sony PC9 instead, which is basically the same as the PC110, but a bit smaller & takes lower quality digital pictures. Overall, I highly recommend the PC-110 -- it's the best personal camcorder on the market.

4PC-Orietned DV Camera
By William W. Smith
The PC110 appears to be a slight re-working of the PC100 with the aim of making it a better still camera and integrating it more closely with Sony's other video imaging products. It takes true megapixel stills, and also will store very short MPEG videos on its memory stick card. Viewing these requires a PC.

Unfortunately, the way this is implemented makes this device more like two cameras than one. You are either in "Memory" mode or "Camera" mode when recording, "Memory" mode or "VCR" mode when playing back. Stills and MPEG are transferred through the USB port, DV video through the FireWire. It all makes sense, when you realize that this camera does not consider MPEG to be a tape format. But it does take some time to get used to. And after you get used to it, you can move on to tricky little things like transferring small portions of your DV video onto the memory stick as MPEG etc. I think you can even transfer stills from memory stick to tape if you'd ever want to do that.

The message here is: this is the camera for people who want to do something with their images other than just watch them as is. It has a lot of features for in-camera editing and effects, though as has been pointed out in the editorial review, you can do this more easily on a PC than in the camera.

Finally, ignore the comments about the ergonomics. The author was holding the camera the wrong way. Your pinky should be nowhere near the focus or still photo controls. A closer reading of the manual and some experimentation would have put him straight.

5Excellent simple analog camcorder still going strong
By E. M. BAGBY
After close to a decade, my PV-L651 is still going strong after hundreds of hours of use. While it isn't DV or HD, this machine still shoots decent quality video in SP mode. The nice thing is being able to play back the tapes on a standard VHS deck with the included adapter cassette. The built-in LCD display is large and makes recording easy. I did replace the included battery with an extended capacity NiMH. The batteries for these Panasonics are readily available and cheap unlike some newer camcorders which use expensive battery packs only available from the OEM.It has quite a few features including a basic titler, security recording mode (motion activated), and the little full function remote is handy when doing video diaries. Build quality is excellent, no wonder it's lasted so long. The previous reviewer pointed out the built-in mike is not that great, I would agree- but then it's VHS-C so you're not going to get hi-fi stereo sound anyway. For the average person wanting to make videos playable on the millions of VHS machines still out there, this is a good choice if you don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a DV or DVD camera. They can be had on Ebay and Craigslist for less than 80 dollars. I just picked another one up off Ebay for $60 BIN.

5Great camera for the price
By L. Horsley
This camera has exceeded all expectations. It's easy to use and takes great quality video. It's a VHS-C and is probably considered old school technology at this time, but when it comes to pointing the camera and taking video, this camera knows how to do it's job. It comes with the following features:- 20x optical zoom.- 150x digital zoom.- 4 inch LCD monitor or viewfinder for viewing/recording.- Automatically add titles to your video such as Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, etc.. for special occasions.- Auto/Manual settings for focusing and shutter speeds.- Fade In or Out of your video or pause while recording.- On/Off/Auto light and back-lighting.- Image StabilizationA fully charged battery lasts about 1 1/2 hours with continuous use.Cons: That would be the microphone which doesn't provide the best sound quality with no way to correct it.All in all, this is an easy camera to use and it takes great quality video.

5Excellent Buy -worth every penny
By A Customer
I bought this for my husband for Christmas and I thought it would be a big waste. To date my husband has found several pieces of jewelry, a ton of coins and a silver dollar coin that dated 1860 (that we sold for $220). Its easy to use and we now fight to see who will use it next. A great addition to our family.

5Fantastic Entry Level Detector
By S. Wood
I've owned the Bounty Hunter Land Star for about 2 years now and it is a great, economically priced detector. Shop around because you can get it for less then one hundred dollars if you know where to look... cough... ebay... cough... ebay.I've found tons of silver coins with this detector. It's target processor is extremely reliable for coins. If you get a solid repeatable coin tone then you've got a 95% chance of digging up a coin. I've also found Civil War buttons, old toys, and multiple rings at the beach. Yesterday I found 2 Mercury Head dimes (1918 and 1941) in a local park. Believe me when I tell you that treasure is in the ground everywhere.Contrary to another review that you may see below, the All-Metal mode works exactly as it should. Not only does it work as it should, but it is the most useful and descriptive mode on this machine. Mr. David Carlson obviously doesn't know how to operate his metal detector. The symptoms that he describes are the result of someone not reading the manual. He doesn't understand the relationship between All-Metal mode and Ground Balance. It just takes a moment to read and understand.Bottom line: Great metal detector to get you into the hobby cheaply so that you can begin finding some great stuff. Like I said, I've been using mine for 2 years and I don't feel the need to upgrade.

4Very happy
By Donna
My husband and I had been talking about getting a detector on and off for over a year. The more we looked into it, the more confused we were. We didn't know what features we needed or what to look for. We didn't want to spend too much but were afraid to go too low and end up with one that didn't work well. We decided on this one based on other reviews and price. It came with a video which helped us understand about the model and how they work in general. Just practicing around the yard he found two colonial coins. We've only taken it on one camping trip and found a silver dime, some quarters, pennies, and a silver Mexican Peso in New Hampshire about 4 inches deep. My husband is getting the hang of it. The more items you find, the more you understand it. He says that when it says it's junk, turns out it is junk and it's been right on with quarters and smaller coins. We are very happy with the unit and feel we made the right choice. I would have given it one more star but my husband hasn't found any jewelry yet!
