4An excellent keyboard
By C. Moravetz
Nice solid construction. Clever way of folding up compactly so that it's about the same size as my Visor Edge. I have found two minor problems with using it.Until you get used to it, attaching my PDA to the keyboard is tricky. This is probably due the way Handspring designed the connector and not the fault of Targus. The other problem I have is most of the time when I connect the keyboard to my PDA the keyboard won't work unless I detach it, disable the keyboard in the Keyboard program, reattach the keyboard, reattach the keyboard, and then reenable the keyboard software. With some experimentation I found that if I just disable the keyboard software before detaching the keyboard, I didn't have this problem. The drawback is remembering to disable before detachment, and enabling after attachment.Aside from these two minor problems, I still regard this as an excellent product.

5Visor Edge
By T. J. Grow
I transitioned from a Franklin Planner to a Visor Edge PDA.

I got my keyboard yesterday, and installed the software for the keyboard as soon as I got into the office, and took it to my first meeting of the day. One of my co-workers has the same Visor Edge that I have, and was floored when he saw how easy it was to use the keyboard. He travels alot more than I do, and lugs a laptop around. He is buying one for himself ASAP.

I was able to take more detailed notes faster than I usually do, and was able to synch and share my notes via e-mail.

If you have ever considered getting a keyboard like this for your PDA, I wouldn't hesitate a moment longer.

5It works!
By Amazonian
This is a handsomely designed keyboard for users on the go, and it's ideal for Palm fans hoping to avod the frustration of tapping or drawing one letter at a time. It's portable, works quickly, lasts for a long time with batteries, and folds into an appealingly small package. This adds a new level of functionality to your Palm, and it's doubtful that most users will go too far without it.Of course, you'll need a flat surface to make this work, and you should beware of the dizzying variety of different keyboards, each with their own compatibiilities (or lack thereof). I don't "Palm" without it.

4Almost Wonderful...
By A Customer
This receiver has ample power, conservatively rated at around 130Wpc into 8 ohms, and an almost mind-boggling number of connection options for different sources, as well as 7.1 speaker outputs. It handles analog, digital, and optical inputs. But, and this is only a minor weakness, the high end - that is, cymbals, triangles, etc. - seems to "splash" somewhat. Now, no other equipment I've ever had was better. But, really GOOD equipment can make a cymbal or orchestral triangle sound much better, with more clarity and "true" ring, rather than this "splashiness".That's all I can find wrong with it. I suspect it's in the pre-amp section because I connected a high-end external amplifier (>300Wpc and >$4000) and still had that splash - from very good source material. BTW, my main speakers are two Final 0.3s with another pair in the back channels, 2 Magnepans for sides, and a Creative Technology BP2004 for center and sub-woofer duty. The external test amp was made specifically for electrostats. Output to each speaker is individually adjustable as to level and we took care to get those right at my listening position.I use an Onkyo DS939 DVD player (~$1800), an Onkyo CD turntable, a Nakamichi cassette tape deck, and my local cable TV thru a VCR. Video output goes thru a Farudja NRS to a NEC 50" plasma display, 1376x768. Good surround sounds from appropriate DVDs, but I'd like my louder classical pieces to sound better in the highs. I sent Onkyo an e-mail asking about this "splash" but they didn't respond. They would probably say I had bad source material or speakers. That would be nonsense. I even had an audio consultant in for 3 hours trying to figure it out (it was his high-end amp we tested with it), no dice. Still, I'm glad I have this Onkyo equipment. I guess I can't have EVERYTHING (damn!).

5Way better than expected!
By C. Popa
I had been looking for some good speaker stands for my Polk Audio Tsi 200's and couldn't find many stands that were strong enough to support them. I decided to get this set but I had no idea how amazing they would actually be. The stand itself is a matte black and very sturdy on carpet(comes with spikes). The packaging was completely destroyed by the time it reached me, but I wasn't missing any parts. I used a drill to help with the assembly and it took about 10-15 minutes to get them all set up. I strongly recommend using some quakehold museum wax to keep the speakers firmly attached to these stands. Overall, an attractive, strong, set that exceeded all expectations.

4Solid mid range speaker stands
By Walter Heckman
I was very pleased with this product. The purchase comes with two stands. The stands were easy to assemble. The stands are pressboard wood. They are solid and the paint on them hasn't chipped or flaked, except for one place...read on to find out. I have fairly large speakers and the stands support them well. The only thing I didn't like very much was the way the wire cover was implemented on the back of the stand. You get two pieces of flat, semi-flexible plastic that you insert into two slots cut on the back of the stand. You have to bend the plastic into a half pipe and then slide them down the base of the stand while keeping the plastic half pipe in the slot. It took a couple of tries to get the plastic pieces to bend and then slide into the slots that retain them. I nicked the top of the wood at the top and it chipped a bit of the paint off. However, once I figured it out and got them in it looks pretty good.Effective and attractive.

4Very good quality for the price
By Jack H Hoffman III
Overall, these stands are very decent quality, especially given the $50 price I paid (not including shipping). With the option of spikes or pads for the top and bottom plates, it gives you options for all types of speakers and locations. I'm using the carpet spikes on the bottom and neoprene pads on top with my Yamaha NS-333's which are being used for satellite duty. These speakers are on the heavy side (>12lbs) so traditional smaller satellite stands will not work. While not rock-solid stable, these stands work well enough for my "out-of-the-way" corner locations. They can take a light bump, but wouldn't hold up to a small child grabbing hold and yanking (or an overly excited labrador). With my older carpet and padding, the stands sit up on the spikes quite a bit, even at the lowest settings. They are however adjustable, so if anyone complaints about the overall height on carpet, please try adjusting your spikes (or replacing your carpet). In case anyone was still wondering, there are two stands in the package. I received all parts listed in the instructions, though the blister pack that contained them had been opened and resealed with tape. Most likely there was an early quality control issue with parts being left out and this was corrected in the factory before being shipped to distributors. The instructions are useless as it consists only of illustrations with no written instructions, but this is not rocket science. The screws all fit without splitting or excessive effort, which might have been another factory correction as I've heard other complain of splitting smaller holes. As others have stated, the most difficult part is installing the wire channel. The illustrations indicate bending the "film" for the channel and inserting both sides into the slits in the back of the stand. This is impossible, but there is an obvious that the way it needs to be done. Simply, leave the top unattached and slide the bottom edge of the film into the channel from the top and move it down slowly. I took my time and bent the film into the approximate shape and slid it down about 2-3", then I used one palm to keep pressure on the already inserted part (to keep it in the track) while using my other hand to squeeze and slide the rest of the film in 1-2" movements. I did not have any issues using this technique and highly recommend using pressure on the already inserted piece, because the finish on the back could be damaged if the film were to slip out. The pieces of film get very hard to install at the end, so I used a flat piece of wood to push it down the rest of the way. NOTE: there are two pieces of each size of film, and you need to use one of each size per stand. Total install time for both stands: 20-30 minutes. The neoprene pieces are small and should really be a little thicker to allow the speakers to sit up a little more for use with thicker speaker wire, but this is not a major concern.I have oily palms and I noticed that the finish on these stands show those oils, however some furniture polish should help give the stands a little more luster to reduce that effect.Given the options with these stands, I'd say it's an excellent value and well worth the extra time for installation. However, if your local UPS people are less than delicate with stuff, beware the packaging!
