Product Description
BMC Iwo-Jima Army Men play set with over 50 pieces. Figures include 24 Marines in light green, 24 Japanese Soldiers in butternut orange, and 6 US Marines raising the flag attached to a gray base. Sherman Tank Armored Vehicle measures approximately 7.75 x 3.5 x 3.75 inches high with lots of authentic detail and turret that swivels. Amtrack Amphibious Assault Vehicle measures approximately 9.25 x 4 x 3.5 inches high and has two .30 caliber Browning machine guns and a .50 caliber BMG guns that swivel. Large gray mountain features bunkers and removable top. Made from polypropylene plastic with medium detail and very little flashing.

Fun & Educational & Fun

Another great BMC product (with King and Country permission's) they have a plastic copy of the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima. Great Japanese figures in many poses and the Marine figures are great as well the mountain is nice the landing craft which you can buy separately to add to their number and the small US Tank a Sherman I think. This set is as good as you will ever get for the price. Check out their D-Day set, San Juan Hill, Gettysburg, sadly no more little Big Horn set but you can buy the figures. A great toy to teach some American History .

I'm a 5th Grade teacher and have set this up in my classroom. I love it and my kids love it. We enjoy arranging the vehicles and figures and it really helps them understand history. I just wish the plastic mountain wasn't so slippery!

To be honest, I ordered this playset because I wanted the Iwo Jima - men raising the flag - portion. My husband is a Marine and his groomscake was the battle of Iwo Jima, so I used that part as his cake topper. The cake turned out very cute and everyone loved it! The set overall is great, too, though and my husband liked it. lol
