4Tango with Jango
By Catharsise
Lets get right to it. This is a good figure, with good character likeness, that looks good when fully outfitted. Jango comes in a big box (16"x13"x4"), dressed only in his blue coveralls, boots and one of the two included sets of interchangeable gauntleted hands. The other set, instead of having molded plastic fingers (best for gun handling), has bendable fingers (best for creative hand gestures, pointing and holding onto things like the edge of your shelf). Two small back tubes extend from each gauntlet and tuck neatly into the coveralls' sleeve-slots representing the electronic interface for the gauntlet armament.

In the box, Jango is surrounded by his armor and equipment that includes, a one piece chest/backplate that clamshells over the figure with two very fragile looking vinyl button/strap connectors on each side. There are two (2) separate jetpacks, one with firing missle and one backup jetpack without a missle. They attach to the chest/backplate via a large notched slot. A small dart attached to a long thread line (actually there are two of them inasmuch as one is already attached to one set of the gauntlets) is included. The double holstered and pouched utility belt is painted to look like weathered brown leather with intergral codpiece armor painted silver. Two (2) chromed blaster pistols, Jango's helmet with positionable range finder, and additional armor pieces include two (2) shin plates, two (2) knee guards, and two (2) thigh plates round out this set.

Out of the box, don't plan on dressing and undressing this figure alot. The thigh straps for the double holsters (which must stretch around the thigh armor plate to be positioned correctly), are one-piece and molded to the holsters. They are thin and have a limited amount of elasticity. These straps have small molded-in locking devices ("tongue and tunnel") that only work if you loop the ends back thru the tunnel. This makes it impossible for the ends to slip back through the tunnel. You must use caution though because you are stretching this plastic strap around the fabric covered thigh of the fugure and the velcro held (but not too well) armor thigh plate, then looping it. Too much force and you have snapped the strap. The armor pieces have a 1/4" square velcro swatch on the backside, coinciding with reciprocal velcro swatches located on the front of Jango's coveralls (shin, knee and thigh). As mentioned before, these swatches do not position or hold the armor pieces in-place very well. The armor itself is more like soft vinyl, but with a tenacious memory. Flexing the armor pieces and bunching Jango's coveralls beneath them, then letting the vinyl's memory and the velcro swatches lock in-place, works well for positiong the pieces. Once fully dressed and armored, Jango's biggest challenge has arrived.....standing up. The reason most Hasbro figures have difficulty standing is because the feet cannot stand firmly on a level surface. Hasbro Boots with heels are the cause. Try some wet newspaper (paper mache), or play-doh, or modeller puddy, or three dimes, tamped into the heel portion of the boots. This should provide a firm platform for Jango's feet. Overall, This is one of the best 12" SW figures to date.

3More "dis-play"-ability than Playability
By Sean McGrath
The Attack of the Clones 12" line thus far has been far superior than Hasbro's previous Star Wars 12" products (with the exception of the highly overpriced Sith Lords two pack). This is the second best of them (the first being the clone trooper). It is highly detailed and looks very cool on the shelf. Despite being marked as poseable I dare anyone to keep any of the 12 inches standing unless they are fully standing straight up.The figure is packaged with Jango just in his jump suit and all of his armor off which means you have to put everything on (unless you want to keep him only in his jumpsuit). This proved to be almost as challenging as building the LEGO Jango Fett. The jump suit is rather baggy which makes it extremely difficult to get get the leg armor and gun holsters on. Including both the rocket firing pack and the jet-pack was a nice touch. Once it is all together though it looks great and is a must have for any Boba/Jango fan. Overall I'll say excellent concept for a toy...slightly less than perfect execution.
