Wonderful but a little heavy

We have several European wooden toys (but this is the only Plan Toy we've bought so far) and they're all wonderful. They're made of good quality wood and painted with a very pleasant looking paint that allows some of the wood grain to show through. This toy has rubber on the wheels for traction for the wheels to turn and move the toy.This alligator makes a fun claking noise as it is pulled across the floor. It's especially loud on hardwood or any hard floors but my 15-mo. old son loves it. For some reason this sound is not annoying like plastic electronic toys that make sounds or light up. His face light up the first time I showed him how to use it. The only complaint is that since it is made of wood it's a bit heavy compared to most plastic toys kids have. And when my toddler is pulling it and turns, the toy turns on its side or back and I have to rush to put him back on his "feet." Other than that we love this toy. It's so cute that when it's left around the house it almost looks like a prop instead of just another toy that has not been put away.

Few toys have sparked either of my children much, but this is one that they have both loved. It is simple; it does not light up or make music. The way it moves is fun. When my four year old sees my 18 month old playing with it she still likes to pull it around and pretend that it is her pet.

the dancing alligator is awesome! of course, it works best on hardwood or tile floors (not carpet) so keep that in mind. its definitely a source of entertainment and exercise for kids of all ages!
