5It keeps my PC stable, even when high-current items are turned on.
By Michael A. Palero
I live in an old house with matching old wiring.Whenever the air conditioning toggled, whenever a microwave would turn on and whenever the washing machine and dryer switched cycles my computer would turn off.Eventually, after all the dirty current and power loss to my computer, power supply blew up.I bought a UPS, but these conditions quickly ruined the battery and then my graphics card stopped working. Not wanting to take another chance, I purchased this line conditioner. Now my PC stays ON even during A/C toggles and microwave use.The UPS protecting the PC rarely triggers now and the new battery is much healthier working behind this line conditioner. If you have an expensive gaming console, computer or television running in a house with dirty power, you need one of these!

1Deceptive advertising - DOES NOT regulate voltage
By Brett Buck
I purchased this power conditioner/regulator recently. In testing, I found that the output voltage followed the input with no apparent attempt to regulate the voltage. In talking with the manufacturer, it turns out the unit does not regulate in the normal sense of the word - it has a huge deadband that causes it to ignore normal line voltage variations. I was seeing from 113.5 to 119 out of the unit. I would also note that the spec sheet supplied indicates that for an 87 volt to 129 volt input, the output is 120. It doesn't to that. I am planning on returning the unit ASAP.

4Adequate for the price
By lem
I tested this on a circuit that's always been susceptible to voltage drops due to load...When I'm running a single computer on the circuit:118 volts measured at wall outlet.Line conditioner led reads 'normal'.118 volts measured at conditioner's outlet. (seems to be just passing through the voltage when it's operating in the 'normal' range.)When I add ~150 watts of load (lights):116 volts measured at wall outletLine conditioner led reads 'low'. (audible relay click accompanies this change)126 volts measured at conditioner's outlet.Adding 800 watts of load (space heater):102 volts measured at wall outletLine conditioner led reads 'very low'. (audible relay click accompanies this change)120 volts measured at conditioner's outlet. So it works quite well, correcting 102 volts to 120 with 1000+ watts of load; but the corrected voltage can overshoot a bit (eg, if your input is just barely low enough to trip the 'low' correction.)I originally hoped the voltage correction would me more continuous, but this isn't the case; there are just a few levels of correction that are tripped at certain thresholds.Plastic construction could be better; there's a little bit too much flex on the frame when I plug things in.
