great speakers

great speakers , for their size they are very loud and the bass is acceptable . granted they are not going to sound like a 12 inch sub , or full surround setup , but for the price they are hard to beat .had a pair of the satellites that came with an older dell computer ( freebie minus the sub )they were discontinued a while ago , so i was lucky to find them .only negative are the separate power and level controls ( one for main satellite speakers , one for sub ) which gets old having to turn on both every time ,but allows more control over listening environment .took a little tuning of the computers soundcard EQ to get rid of mid range harshness and flat bass " thud " , but not enough to sacrifice the overall output .original purchased for my work computer , but were too nice ( and loud ) for the shop , so they are now my home garage setup .loud enough to be heard over an air compressor and power tools . ( and annoy the neighbor's )
