5If you only buy one "good" pot, buy this one.
By ringo
This pot is wide enough to roast a four pound chicken, deep enough to make a standard casserole recipe, and heavy enough to make perfect rice for five people. The rounded bottom is just right for sweating onions and peppers. The tapered sides reduce soup and sauces quickly. The enamel coating soaks clean without scrubbing - even baked on pan juices. I've even served salad in it.

Like other Le Creuset pots, this can't be used for deep fat frying (very high temperatures will trash the enamel). So you'll have to settle for it doing everything else.

5Great for under $... may be big enough for you
By Kevin Stay
I started with the 2-5/8 quart soup pot before this size was available, and it is just too small even when making soup for two. It is now relegated to sauce duty, something for which the design is not particularly well-suited. What this design is wonderfully suited for is establishing "stirring" currents in the liquid as you cook. (Obviously, it doesn't work with chili or a heavy cream-type soup.)

If you're cooking for anything less then 8 people this size should suffice. As with all LeCreuset the quality is top of the line. If you are hoping to make soup for the extended family then you'll have to up to the the 7+ quart version. A friend of mine got it for a very reasonable price, also here at Amazon. However, be warned that it is much larger and much heavier than this model. (We refer to it as the "Herniator")

1Poor Quality Inspection by Le Creuset
By HEC
I've ordered and returned the Le Creuset 4 1/2 Qt. Soup Pot with Cover, Blue twice. Both pieces had flaws in the finish. The first piece had numerous pits in the finish and the second piece had red speckles on the lid as well as several pits in the finish too. There is definitely a problem with the finishing process at the Le Creuset factory! Must be a lack of final / quality inspection by Le Creuset. When I bought the second piece I also received the Le Creuset Poterie 16-Ounce Covered Soup Bowls, Set of 2, Blue. They also had a problem with their finish.I'm starting to believe that the units sent to Amazon by Le Creuset must be factory seconds. The type of product you would normally find at TJ Max, Home Goods, Marshall's, etc.All I can say is, "Buyer beware of the poor quality of this product! At least in Blue!"

Product Description

Immerse yourself in the peaceful patterns of Gregorian chant with this classic-style windchime. Tuned to a medieval scale, it echoes the vocal music of the gothic era sung to accompany meditation in the churches of Europe since the late 8th century. The sound produced by the 8 precision-tuned tubes is soothing, uplifting, and incredibly rich. One of a series of 5 differently sized windchimes tuned to the same scale, the Gregorian Baritone Chime harmonizes beautifully with the other Gregorian Chimes. Imagine the sound of all 5 Gregorian Chimes hung outdoors and sounding together with their rich melodies.

Woodstock Chimes are the original, musically-tuned, high-quality windchimes known worldwide for their superior sound. When listening to a Woodstock Chime, you hear a fine musical instrument played by the wind, perfectly hand-tuned using the ancient system of “just intonation” based on natural harmonics. This means the frequencies at which the different tubes vibrate are related to one another by simple whole-number ratios. Tones that are related in this way produce the most beautiful musical intervals. The sonic effect is exceptionally pure and soothing.

More than 30 years ago, the first Woodstock Chime was created by founder and owner Garry Kvistad from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympos, a 7th century pentatonic scale that can’t be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympos was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our bestselling windchimes. Garry and his wife Diane founded Woodstock Percussion, Inc. in 1979 and it remains a family-owned business in New York’s Hudson Valley.

5Woodstock chimes
By Denise Wegge
Woodstock has the best sounding wind chimes I have owned. They can be tolerated by most anyone - even those who dislike the tinkling of most other chimes! Everyone who comes over comments on the beautiful sound of the chimes. Since they are properly pitched, musicians can even enjoy these! The baritone is my favorite, with its rich, warm lower tones.

Don't be taken back by their price - you get your money's worth with chimes from Woodstock.

5Deepest Sound
By T. Kraemer
This chime was a gift for my wife last Spring. We loved it so much I've made all the different tones of Gregorian presents for special occasions. Now we have them all, so I'm starting at the top again to put more on the other side of the house. These need just a little wind to make a nice sound. The Baritone is amazing and worth getting first. The wind catcher is balanced nicely butit will take a bit more wind than for the smaller models. Consider putting it higher where more breezes will make it chime. Put it outside, near a window to enjoy the sounds indoors. A great and gentle addtiion to any outdoor setting.

4Beautiful!!
By Erin Dawson
I was surprised by how big this windchime really is. If you are looking for a windchime with deeper tones to it, this is it. It sounds so beautiful. Word to the wise though, if you go to Woodstocks website and check some of the other online vendors through them, you can find it a lot cheaper!

5The knife lover's dream steak knife!
By Maria K. Todd
The first time we used them, we cut the ribeyes with this set fresh off the grill and everyone commented how wonderful the knife felt in our hands. The balance of the knife as well as the ease of use and the quality of the incision made us feel like skilled surgeons. Lately, I grill steaks just to have an excuse to use them! The presentation case is impressive to guests and they serve as a safe place to preserve their edges, tips and overall beauty. I bought them on amazon.com and was very pleased with the product for the price paid. I will probably purchase a second set so that I have service for eight.

4Great starting set with block
By Andrew Shinn
I like this set of knives. I got this set since it had the larger block which allows me to easily add additional knives easily. I've had them for over a year now and they are still as sharp as when i got them (haven't needed to sharpen yet).My biggest gripe is the silly sticker on the knife handles. I have been carefully hand washing the knives and the sticker starts to get gummy and peeling off after about a month. Seems very tacky and low quality to put a sticker like this on a quality knife. I had to take off 1 whole star for this. But if this doesn't bother you as much as it does me then consider this a 5 star review :)

4Quality knives
By Donna
These knives are really good. I ended up adding them to an assortment of others I use regularly. The block was a disappointment (lightweight and a poor finish) and I discarded it for one I was already using.
