What a great product! I love the timer and different heat setting features. It makes using it very convenient - which is always a plus!I don't care for the wax that was included as it seemed a little greasy... but, all in all.. it's wonderful!Enjoy it! You'll love it!

What a Pampering Experience

I was looking for a stylish yet practical Paraffin bath equipment. HoMedics Par-120 is it! It is wide enough to put my size-7 foot in (jusst made it) yet it is not too gigantic.

I have dry hands and flaky soles which really embarrassed me when going to yoga classes or acupuncture sessions. Now I feel that I do not have to feel uncomfortable to go to these activities. Besides, since I am a writer and I constantly use keyboard, the treatment relieves my wrist and finger tension tremendously.

The treatment is fairly clean and convenient. I had expected to be messy after the wax is removed. But to my surprise, it was easy to clean up.

The instructions said remove the cover for 15 minutes after the set-up time is reached. I found if you want to aim at the suggested temperature of 121 -131, you need to wait for the wax to cool down for at least 20 minutes in northern California during winter.

Paraffin Baths were spa treatments that became overlooked for some time. Back when women used to pamper themselves regularly (1940s) in spas, these treatments were the norm. The oils penetrate the skin better because of the heat of the wax and it makes a barrier to hold it in as it works. For best results submerge, pull out (coating 1) then repeat making several coatings. Pamper yourself like women used to, and movie stars have always. Wonderful product.

Helps get your feet up!

This foot rest is great both prenatally and for feeding time. This great foot rest helps angle the feet so that you don't get pinching in the hips or tired feet. Also, this is great for dad when he wants to help feed the little one. Overall this product is great and can be used with rocking chairs and any chair really to transform it into a comfortable feeding place.

Not a necessity, but pretty darn handy!

Yes, you could probably make your own or find a suitable alternative, but I found this easy to put together and perfectly sized for me. I keep it under my couch and it makes a complete difference in how I comfortable I am while breastfeeding (my feet do not touch the floor without it). It's not an absolute "must have," but it's a nice luxury and ordering it made me feel prepared. It doesn't take tools to put together, you just lightly hammer the pieces into place. The white shows the dirt collected from your feet pretty easily, but a quick sweep with the vacuum and it looks good as new!

Not Just for Nursing

I use the stool as a footrest under my computer desk. I am short so when I raise my chair to a good height, my feet dangle. This is great to put my feet on. The flat ones seem to increase stress on my back and the slant of the nursing stool allows me to work for longer periods. After you no longer nurse, just move the stool to the computer desk area.

Great vacuum at this price

I used couple of similarly priced vacuums over the last 5 years and this one is to keep until it lasts. I've been using it for almost 3 years now and had not a single problem.

Pros1. Less Sound2. Adjusts automatically very well when you move from hard floors to carpeted areas.3. Detachable Canister is very light and is so convenient to carry around stairs and to clean blinds, etc.4. White color makes it look pleasant and neat and the filter system is a plus.

Cons1. Very Very Very very hard to buy replacement bags and filters in stores like Walmart, Target, Kmart,etc.

I loaded on bags from amazon just to make sure I will not have problem finding them in future. Same with filters.

Excellent cleaning ability but much noisier than a cannister - caught fire two years later!

I bought this vacuum in March 2002 in an attempt to find the best of both worlds - my husband prefers an upright, I prefer a cannister. The vacuum does an excellent job in cleaning. I especially appreciate the filtration of the bags and the filter. The air in the house does not smell or feel dusty after vacuuming as it did with all of our other vacuums and the house stays cleaner longer. This vacuum is extremely noisy compared to my old Eureka cannister. My husband says it is quieter than most uprights and that I find it noisy because I'm used to a cannister model. With an upright, the motor is in front of me, so I hear the roar all the time. With the cannister, the motor was several feet behind me when I cleaned. Even in Lift Off mode, the loud motor is always next to me. My compromise is to wear those foam ear plugs to buffer the sound while cleaning. I am not able to vaccum underneath the furniture as well with this Lift Off model because it has a higher profile than the powerhead on my old cannister. Overall we are happy with our purchase and feel that this is a good value. Would I buy this model again? Probably not. When this one wears out I'll look for a cannister model with the filtrete clean air technology (or similar).***update***This vacuum cleaner caught fire and started spewing smoke after 2 1/2 years of use. I would have needed to pay for the shipping to have it repaired under the warranty. The shipping costs were almost as much as the vacuum. We threw it out and bought a Miele. What a difference!

Very Pleased

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I am so pleased with this vacuum that I had to let everyone know. It is very powerful and picks up all the cat hair in my house with ease. The cord is so long that I can vacuum my whole house and only have to unplug it and change electrical outlets once. An added bonus is that it converts into a portable vacuum that I use to clean out my car. It has certainly exceeded my expectations, and I am a very happy customer.
