5Better than easy and simple set!
By J. Hunt
We have the 12'X 36", which is almost the same size, and are extremely pleased with it. It is a lot of pool for the money! The exterior white pipes are a sturdy metal that interlock with each other and slip through a very strong vinyl casing around the top of the heavy vinyl blue pool itself. Since we already had a level spot from previous pools, it took only an hour or so, for my children to assemble it themselves, with their 14 yr. old brother. As many people have stressed on other pool reviews, YOU MUST MUST have a level site and this can take lots of work, so don't expect to just open it and start assembling. Once the pool was filled with water, I was surprised by how much more solid it seemed than our previous Easy set and simple set pools had been. It's like there's some kind of dynamic balance between the metal frame and the heavy vinyl pool wall and all the water. My son insists it is superior to our old pools. An important note is that this pool is truly 12 feet across the top, unlike the easy and simple set ones that measure 12 feet on the bottom diameter but far less, closer to 9+ feet across the top, and this pool can be filled up to 90% of its sidewall height. Our old easy set pool was supposed to be filled only to 80%, so when you compare this pool with those kind, remember that this one has more usable swimming area and depth. This kind of pool can not be winterized and left up in climates where the winter temperatures drop below freezing, so keep that in mind. We live in the northeast of the US, so pools are useful at most from approximately Memorial Day to shortly after Labor Day, and we think that inexpensive above ground pools are economical. Also, we have found that the more expensive chemical testing kits, like the ones at Walmart for $12.97, that test for for at least five things, are a good investment, even for small pools. If you don't add stabilizer (cyanuric acid) and keep your ph steady, you will spend too much on chemicals overall. I wasted lots of chlorine over the years before I realized that. Small pools are economical but the chemical maintenance is more challenging than it might seem. I looked into Bacquacil (a non-chlorine sanitizing system, that is not as tricky to test and manage as a chlorine system) and was told by one pool dealer that it might clog up cartridge filters in small pools, but the website for Bacquacil says you can use it with this kind. We are going to try that. Also, our pool came with a well made ladder, noticeably better quality than our previous pool sets, and had a lightweight pool cover and a small pool skimmer and vacuum. These small vacuums work on whats called a "venturi" effect. Not as efficient as the kind in big pools. Just make sure that you put a big fresh container of water in front of the ladder and make the kids rinse off their feet before going in.

4End of the second summer
By J. Eason
We have had this pool for two summers. We have had the blow up ring type pool in the past (took it down in the winter and put it back up in the spring; pump died the end of the second summer). I like this pool better. We purchased the pool in the late fall of 2007 and put the pool up the spring of 2008 on level ground. We do minor cleaning almost every day before the kids go for a swim - we have a lot of trees near the pool. We run the pump and filter almost 24/7. We live near Atlanta and left the pool up through the winter. The pool was covered and maintained through the winter. We drained, cleaned and refilled it this spring. Pool chemicals are a little expensive, but you'll need them for any pool. We have the water tested at a pool supply store in early spring and add the needed chemicals. The rest of the year is just the shocks and tablets. We have two boys and a girl; their friends come over and swim often. The pool is used four or five days a week (or more). We have had no problems with the pool itself. The hoses to the filter pump started leaking where they bend to be attached to the pool mid summer this year. I was able to fix them with some water proof tape. The pump died a couple of days ago - that's why I'm on amazon looking for a new pump. Remember the pump was on almost 24/7 for 17 months. For the price we paid for the pool, I feel it held up well (you get what you pay for). I'm going to replace the pump and hope the pool will last at least one more year, maybe two. All the minor maintenance and cleaning is done by the wife and kids (I made that clear before we bought it). 7/30/09

5Sturdy and durable!
By J. Collura
This pool is fantastic. I had two other wet set models but had problems with leveling and the sides crashing in when a few kids get rowdy. The metal frame is very strong and holds up well even if your ground has a slight slant. I found it very easy to put up (about an hour). The filter could be better but it does the trick. My son and I are in the pool daily and love it!

5Excellent solar cover
By C. Hine
Last year, without this cover, my pool was usually 70-72 degrees. This year, with the cover, it was never below 80 and occasionally hit 90. I loved it!

5Amazing and highly recommended
By TXSun
Was a little skeptical that this cover could make a difference. After reading reviews, took a chance and ordered the 24' x 12' solar cover. Our pool literally looks like Mickey Mouse's head, two ears, spa (nose/eyes)in the middle, etc. Cut one piece in a 90 inch round shape to fit into the spa. Cut another piece into half circles to place in other irregularly shaped areas. Left with a couple of 4' X 8' strips that almost covered one of the "ears". So light weight and easy to put on and pull off.The first morning water temp. was 74 degrees, heated pool to 86 degrees, enjoyed our swim, and put all the pieces on for the night. Outside temp. went to 72 that night, checked water temp in morning, and pool temp was at 84 degrees! Keep in mind that because of the weird shape, only a little over half of the pool was actually covered with the solar cover. Without turning on the pool heater again, repeated the process for three more days, and it is holding the temp at 84 degrees every time. We are amazed, and thankful that we can avoid using the pool heater. Worth every dollar spent, and will be a money and energy saver for us. Will probably purchase another to completely cover 'Mickey' and really extend our swim season. A great product!

5Great size for our needs and does what we need it
By Chris Thimes
I was skeptical of all the claims but decided to give the cover a try. We average a 8-10 degree increase with the cover. I have found the material to be sturdy and have had no issue rolling it up or getting it out at night when we are done swimming.

5Yay, warm water at last!
By Kimberly E. Beall
Our pool is in shade most of the morning, so the water temperature used to seldom get above 80F, and even that on only a few of the hottest days of the year. That's not really comfortable for quiet lounging with a book, though to justify the cost of the pool I would force myself to do so anyway :)Putting this cover on has made all the difference! The water is regularly over 86F now and it's not even July yet. Even my husband, who had only used the pool like three times since we bought it, gets in with me now.The main thing it does is prevent losing heat overnight. It used to be that the pool was only ever warm on days that followed very hot nights. Now that we are leaving this cover on over night, the water that gets warm during the day, stays warm, so that by the time the sun hits the pool the next day, it adds to the temperature instead of just replacing lost heat again. The material really is very sturdy - not your average bubble wrap, but much thicker, and also a pleasing shade of blue. It sticks to the surface of the water like a suction-cup in a wind-storm (we've had several since we bought it) but rain doesn't accumulate on top and sink it. I was also pleased to find that cutting the material to fit around the pool steps does not void the warranty. Our pool has very good circulation, so the temperature is even from the surface to the bottom. I have had no problem with running the pump with the cover on - it doesn't get sucked into the skimmer or anything like that. One thing I was concerned about was that the chlorine floater would not be able to move around, and that a buildup of chlorine in one spot would damage the liner, but when the pump is running the chlorine floater bobs about all around underneath it just as it would without the cover, so that's good, too!The only drawback is that this cover - we have the 21' round - is pretty heavy, and is very hard for just one person to put on or remove unless they actually get inside the pool to do it. But since I'm usually removing it so that I can get into the pool, it's not really that big an inconvenience.

5bubble cover
By BbGdrch
This is an excellent product. If you let it lie in the water the water tension holds it down so you don't have to deal with the wind blowing it away. I have tried many covers and this is the only one that works in windy conditions. It does keep out leaves and most bugs. It is easy to remove and replace.

5Perfect as far as i can tell
By cheaptechie
I bought this for a 15ft round intex pool that I have in El Paso, Tx. With this baby on there and the pump circulating the water the whole pool shot up to over 90degrees. My kids definately don't complain about it being cold anymore. It also cut my chlorine consumption drastically so be prepared for that. (after trial and error I am down to 1 floating tablet as opposed to the the 3 that I had to use without it. I highly recommend this product. Also, it seems really durable. I haven't had any problem at all in that regard.
