Quick Install, Beautiful Photos!

This printer replaces an older HP color ink jet for me. Installation was quick and easy using my USB 2.0, the printer is backwards compatable with the slower USB 1.1 ports. The USB 2.0 is about 20 times faster than the older USB version 1.1 ports.

The printer includes six ink cartridges, software, and two different cables to connect directly to Canon cameras but not the needed USB cable to connect the printer to the computer. A nice feature is the included media adapters that will take your camera memory and plug them into the printer's PCMCIA port. My package included a Canon adapter for CompactFlash and another by Dazzle that works for four different types including SmartMedia.

The prints are simply beautiful using the sample of five sheets of included glossy paper. The colors are accurate and sharp. The 4x6 frameless prints take less than a minute to print out, 30 minutes to completely dry and they recommend 24 hours before putting them under glass or in an album.

The printer can be used without a computer connected to it using the LCD screen on the righthand side of the machine and a camera's memory card. The image adapter available for [X] connects to a port on the top of the printer to allow you to preview pictures when used to print without the computer.

beautiful photo printer

Other review has talked much about this printer. I only have few comments for those who don't know:- First, the USB cable is not included. You have to buy the USB cable to install the software to re-align the print head, for example. The print head was factory set and produce beautiful print though- Second, the little LCD screen is not included and cost 100 USD to purchase separately. You need it if you print photo directly from your memory card in the built in slot of the printer. Without the screen, you can't print from this slot.- Third, there are "selected" Canon camera that support direct print with this printer. My ELPH S110 only works with the CP-10 or CP-100 photo printer, but not with this printer. What a pain!- 4"x6" borderless paper is what you probably need as it give a nice borderless photo at ease. Printing direct on A4 or letter paper waste a lot of paper at the edge. You may as well cut the A4 to 4 pieces and print from the PC, which allow you to print, say, A6 borderless photo. Don't get bother with the perforated paper.- The sample pack paper give the best result. I wonder if they sell it.- Turn on the Image optimizer with Vivid photo option gives even better picture when printing direct.- If you don't want the direct printing, or you always edit your photo first before printing, go for some other Canon printer that do not have direct printing, it will save you some big bucks.

My wife loves this printer, because she can work with it alone, without a PC. That's the point, after all, to have a direct printing option, right?

Great Pictures

It took a lot of searching before I decided to purchase a good printer and this one is a great one. The pictures are clear and they print fast. I showed them to friends and didn't tell them that I printed them at home and they were very surprised when I told them. Spend the extra money and get a good printer. This printer also include photo ink, which is really needed for a clean print. Make sure you also get the right paper.

Great addition to the kitchen

I have bought two of these appliances, one for me and then one as a gift for my in-laws. I had to so they would not take mine. The bottom portion is great for breakfast foods like pancakes and eggs. The top portion is even better for cooking a variety of foods, including sautéing onions and vegetables and browning meats. The skillet section also doubles as a serving dish that makes it much easier to keep food warm at the table. The variable heat setting also give you great control over the cooking times. I highly recommend the skillet griddle.

I was skeptical about this item at first but I am almost completely sold on it after using it for a few months. The griddle is absolutely the best!! The pan doesn't get quite hot enough even at the highest setting to do a proper job of stir fry. The clean up is very easy and a real bonus feature. The complaints about the plastic taste must come from the use of the lid. We rarely use the lid but use either the griddle or the combination unit at least once a week without the lid.

Great Product!!!

We use the StepSavor all the time! It makes cooking family meals a breeze. Sometimes we use this thing a couple times a day to feed the family. I strongly reccomend this product for anyone who is stretched for time, but still wants to cook deliciuose meals.

terrific wine glass for the serious wine drinker

this is the top of the line when it comes to wine glasses. it's the perfect gift for someone who loves wine, especially complex red wines.

there is a smaller version (the mini) but i recommend this slightly larger version due to both its aesthetic appeal and its functionality. it is the way that good red wines were meant to be enjoyed.

The Best Wine glass for the Best taste!

Contrary to popular belief- we really "taste" with our noses and not with our tongues. Tasting involves the tongue to a very minor extent (taste buds only detect sweet, sour, bitter, and salty). All the other favors or sensations are detected by the nose--the only time most people notice this is when they have a bad cold and stuffy nose--then nothing "taste" good.

Therefore- you want a wine glass that can let the aroma linger, so you can get a good whiff.

In addition the thickness and curvature of the glass somehow alters your "taste" ... I'm not sure why ... but I think many people would agree that some drinks taste better out of the bottle under certain situations...like soda or beer on a hot day.

Therefore- you want a wine glass that is thin and has a curvature that you like. Unfortunately, a thin handsome wine glass is also easy to break. I have already broken a few...one an expensive Riedel Champagne glass.

In conclusion: This is my favorite wine glass for good red aromatic wines.

Not the same as they used to be

I have 2 of these glasses that I had purchased about 3 years ago. They are amazing, nice big size, well crafted by hand and just wonderful. Believe the hype - they make enjoying good wine that much better.I decided to order another one to have as a back up as they are fragile. It arrived in the traditional Riedel packaging, but the glass is now smaller than my previous models and seems a bit off. It is noticeable when you compare to the exact same model I purchased before. The crystal also seems to off in quality, it does not have the same feel and sparkle as my previous models. It is still a nice glass - but at this price, I expect the high quality that I had obtained previously.
